She is one of Australia’s most well-known faces.
But Brittany Higgins looked unrecognisable as she attended a costume party over the weekend.
The former political staffer transformed her appearance as she celebrated a friend’s birthday at an ‘Australian Icon’ themed party.
She sported a black wig, bright red lipstick, a black pantsuit, crisp white long-sleeve shirt, and a leather tie to recreate the controversial outfit journalist and commentator Annabel Crabb wore for ABC’s election coverage last year.
Despite looking almost unrecognisable, she still had her trademark smile.
She shared a gallery of party photos to social media, writing in the caption: ‘When your friend has an Australian icon themed birthday party it’s important to turn it out.

It looked to be a fun night out for Higgins, following a challenging time last year.
In December, Higgins was declared bankrupt by a federal judge following a bitter court battle with her former boss Linda Reynolds.
The ex-Liberal Senator launched the legal action after winning a defamation case against Higgins – Reynolds is now pursuing her for damages and legal costs arising from the defamation suit, with the bill estimated to be well in excess of $1 million.
The bankruptcy was declared after Federal Court Justice Michael Feutrill ordered Higgins’ estate be placed in bankruptcy, backdated to October.
In a statement, Reynolds said she did not see the bankruptcy outcome as a victory.
Reynolds’ lawyer Rachel Ross told reporters the estate would be handed to a trustee, who will take control of Higgins’ affairs and ‘deal with the creditors in due course’.
She said it would be up to the trustee to determine if Higgins maintained any of the $2.4 million compensation payout she received from the Commonwealth in 2022.

Higgins’ husband David Sharaz was also served with a bankruptcy notice by Reynolds and is expected to declare bankruptcy himself.
Reynolds’ high-profile defamation victory over Higgins centred on a series of social media posts the former Defence Minister said damaged her reputation.
She was awarded $315,000 in damages plus $26,109 interest after WA’s Supreme Court ruled in August that some posts were defamatory.
Higgins was also ordered to pay 80 per cent of her former boss’s legal costs, estimated at about $1.5 million.
She alleges former colleague Bruce Lehrmann raped her in Reynolds’ ministerial suite at Parliament House in 2019.
Lehrmann maintains his innocence and has not been found criminally liable, after a 2022 trial was aborted due to juror misconduct.
