We keep being told that illegal aliens don’t vote. It is, after all, illegal.
And it is such a non-issue that even thinking about checking eligibility to vote is a racist, sexist, heteronormative fascist thing to do. Insert whatever insult you like.
Of course, the response to this is obvious: how could you possibly know whether illegal aliens vote? If you do everything in the world to make it impossible to find out—to gather actual data—it’s obvious that you are covering something up. It’s like the crime statistics in some major cities—juke the numbers, downgrade felonies to misdemeanors, and refuse to investigate crimes, and you can make a lot of crime disappear.
The thing is, anybody with a lick of sense knows that some number—that number is unknown, obviously, since we never check—of illegal aliens vote. It would be stupid for them not to if they can get away with it and have no problem breaking the law. It’s like shoplifting in places where nobody gets prosecuted. Those inclined to do it will do it if there are no consequences.
The big difference is that businesses can put everything behind plastic, but we are prevented from securing ballots.
In this context, it’s not at all surprising that the mayor of Coldwater, Kansas, turns out to be an illegal voter, although not an illegal alien. He has been voting in several elections now, in local, state, and federal elections, and he was just arrested for committing felony vote fraud.

It’s just one!
No, it’s just one who was caught, and he was caught because he actually ran for office and was looked into.
Saint Paul, Minnesota, just elected a mayor who was a State Senator, and who got on the floor of the Senate and told the body that she was an illegal alien. She is now disputing this characterization, and there is some question about the facts.
“My name is Kaohly Her, and I am proud to stand before you today as the first Asian and the first woman mayor-elect for the of St. Paul,” Her said at a victory rally.
Speaking to supporters, Her thanked Carter and said St. Paul needs to increase revenue streams without putting strain on residents, be “open for business,” ensure public safety includes addiction and mental health services, and be “filled with diverse housing options.”
Then, Her turned her attention to what she called “the giant elephant in the room.”
“Right now, Donald Trump and his ICE agents are descending on cities all across the country with permission from the Supreme Court to target people based on what they look and sound like,” Her said. “It’s wrong, and as your mayor I will put the full force of the city behind defending our neighbors.”
Meanwhile, Carter released a statement that congratulated Her and said “While we may not agree on everything, we all have a much greater set of challenges that can only be faced together; my team and I stand ready to help set Rep. Her up to hit the ground running.”
Carter, who has been talked about as a possible running mate for Gov. Tim Walz next year, was seeking a third term as mayor of St. Paul. While many saw the election as a lock for Carter, Her entered the race three months ago and secured a shocking upset.
Prior to winning the St. Paul mayoral election, Her was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 2018 and has won reelection every two years since then.
During her time in the House, Her has supported legislation which gives driver’s licenses to illegal aliens and authorizes abortion with no restrictions. She also opposed a measure that revoked adult illegal aliens’ access to MinnesotaCare, a state-run healthcare program.
Earlier this year, Her gained national attention after telling her fellow lawmakers, “I am illegal in this country. My parents are illegal here in this country.” Her, who was born in Laos, made the stunning comments during a House floor debate where she shared how her family came to America.
Addressing her fellow lawmakers, the DFLer appeared to admit that her father, who worked at a U.S. consulate in southeast Asia, forged documents to get his family to America. Her said she had just recently learned that information and told the chamber, “My family broke the law to come here.”
Her’s statements quickly gained national attention on various news outlets and social media platforms. In response, she issued a statement walking back her comments. Among other things, Her said she is a citizen, her parents are citizens, her family “came legally as refugees of the Vietnam War,” and “I am legal.”
Since Her’s original claim to be an illegal alien is based on immigration fraud rather than entering the country as most illegals do, I doubt that there is any way to prove either of her claims one way or another. Clearly, she thought admitting to being an illegal was politically useful at the time she said it, and it’s obviously useful for her now to deny it, since she might be tossed out of power.
Whatever the case, obviously, Her’s claiming that she is an illegal alien was not a problem with getting elected.
Which gets me to my point: a large number of people are clearly just fine with people illegally voting. It serves their political ends, first of all, and they don’t see any difference between American citizens having a say in their governance and others being able to have a say in how we are governed.
All the talk of “voter disenfranchisement” happening in places with voter ID is a distraction tactic. The argument that getting an ID is impossibly difficult for citizens who are minorities is absurd on its face, and everybody who trots out that old chestnut is a bald-faced liar.
What they want is non-citizens voting.
Expect a lot of people from Coldwater to pop out of the woodwork and declare their love for the mayor. He is a great guy!
For all I know, he is. And since he is here legally, I would have had no problem with his making a living and a good life here.
But he broke the law, and had to know he did. He should be prosecuted and deported. What do you want to be that few of the people who piously declared “nobody is above the law” will agree in this case?
And what do you want to bet that Her’s declaring herself an illegal alien netted her a lot of votes in Saint Paul?
BONUS DEGENERATE:
Meet Angela Walker. She was just elected to Bangor, Maine City Council
She was previously convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 10 years for kiIIing a tourist, allegedly because he called her a “racist” name.

Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
