Jannik Sinner is playing the best tennis of his life as he enters the 2025 Wimbledon final at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Sunday, July 13.
However, for Sinner to win his first-ever Wimbledon Championship, he must defeat two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz. A month ago, the Italian tennis star faced off against Alcaraz in the French Open final.
After five hours and 29 minutes of play, the longest match in Roland Garros history, Alcaraz defeated Sinner in a stunning comeback, 4-6, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (10-2).
“I’m pretty sure you’re going to be a champion, not once, but many many times,” Alcaraz told reporters of Sinner on June 8. “It’s a privilege to share the court with you in every tournament, making history with you.”

After defeating Serbia’s Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon semi-finals, Sinner made it clear he’s moved past the heartbreaking loss in Paris. “I think if it would be a lot in my head, I would not be in the situation to play a final again,” he told reporters.
With the spotlight back on the 23-year-old tennis star, fans can’t help but wonder about Sinner’s personal life. While rumors swirl about a new girlfriend following his breakup with fellow tennis player Anna Kalinskaya, Sinner set the record straight.

While fans linked Sinner to Laila Hasanovic, she’s attended numerous of Sinner’s matches, including at Wimbledon, the three-time Grand Slam champion shut down relationship rumors.
“There’s a lot of attention,” said Sinner during a press conference in May. “Also, off the court, I was surprised to see some pictures, which, nothing serious. I’m not in a relationship!”

Sinner made the comments during an Italian Open press conference following his three-month doping suspension. Overall, Sinner likes to keep his private life private. After confirming his relationship with Kalinskaya last year, “Yes, I’m with Anna, but we keep everything very confidential,” he said, per Tennis.com. “I won’t say more.”

Speaking to Vanity Fair Italia for the June 2024 issue, Sinner spoke about the pressure of being in a relationship while trying to be at the top of his game.
“Of course, it’s not easy, I travel a lot and during tournaments, I’m very focused,” Sinner said. “But I think it’s a beautiful thing when you find the right love. Like for everyone. And then, if you think about it, the best tennis players in the world all have wives and children.”
Right now, however, his focus remains on defeating Alcaraz at Wimbledon. “We saw the last final – you never know [what will happen],” Sinner said, per The Guardian. “It’s an honour to share the court with Carlos again. We try to push ourselves to the limit.
“Hopefully it’s going to be a good match like the last one, but I don’t know if it can be better because I don’t think it’s possible.”
