Jennie’s new “Mantra”? Red is the new beige.

The BLACKPINK star, 29, turned heads on the red carpet at the 40th Golden Disc Awards in Taipei, Taiwan, on Jan. 10, wearing a custom crimson Maison Margiela Artisanal gown — the same dramatic silhouette Kim Kardashian debuted in beige at the Academy Museum Gala in October.

While the Skims founder, 45, fully committed to the runway’s avant-garde face-covering hood in Los Angeles, Jennie opted for a red-carpet reveal.

Though her stylist, Sam Woolf, shared backstage photos of the “Like Jennie” singer in the complete hooded ensemble, she shed the headpiece before stepping in front of the cameras.

Kardashian’s mask became a polarizing moment online — and a playful point of contention for her glam team.

The reality star previously revealed to Variety that she had a full face of makeup beneath the mask, even flying her longtime artist Mario Dedivanovic from New York for the occasion.

Hairstylist Chris Appleton captured the moment with characteristic humor, captioning his Instagram post: “Behind every masked moment is a glam team silently crying 🥹.”

For Jennie, however, the focus was on the glow—and the glitter.

The K-pop idol traded the mask for show-stopping Antoine jewels: a custom 60-carat “pigeon blood” ruby and 27-carat diamond necklace valued at a staggering $4 million, according to a post from the jeweler’s CEO.

Kardashian also noted that the nude creation looked “very SKIMS-y,” which is what first drew her to the look from designer Glenn Martens’ debut couture collection for the French house.

Jennie’s reimagined version featured the same severe corset bodice with visible boning and dramatic draped sleeves pooling at the floor — just rendered in a vibrant cherry red.

Jennie is now the third A-lister to take this specific Margiela silhouette for a spin, following Anya Taylor-Joy’s sheer white interpretation — sans mask — to the Governors Awards in November.
