Jennifer Aniston reveals her secret to 'aging gracefully' after plastic surgery speculation

Jennifer Aniston is crediting her youthful looks to “optimism” and “positivity.”

The “Friends” alum, 56, reacted to her “Morning Show” co-star Marion Cotillard complimenting her as someone who has aged gracefully, and shared her surprising secret.

“That means so much to me. We didn’t have that [those kind of role models growing up],” she said of Cotillard’s praise in a Q&A with Glamour published Tuesday. “And I think as far as aging gracefully, I have an eternal fountain of optimism and positivity. Call it youth if you want.”

“But I think it all starts with how we love our bodies and love where we are,” she added.

Aniston didn’t admit to undergoing any recent plastic surgery, but rather, noted that she’s “maintained” her looks.

“I’m not going to say I don’t get the facials and the lasers and all that good stuff,” she said. “I mean, I’m maintained. I’m not going to just go down and let these gray hairs take over.”

“So its perspective, and also knowing that this is our one body,” she continued. “It’s a mindset. So it means a lot to me to hear that from Marion, who I think is a walking beam of sunshine and love and beauty and talent.”

In March 2024, she and her good friends Sandra Bullock and Amanda Anka (Jason Bateman’s wife) were spotted leaving an upscale plastic surgery retreat in Connecticut in pictures obtained by the Daily Mail.

The group — who seemingly tried to stay undercover — was photographed leaving renowned cosmetic surgeon Dr. Neil A. Gordon’s office in the ritzy town of Greenwich.

Dr. Gordon is part of a “small, elite group of international facial plastic surgeons” who specializes in “facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty,” according to his bio. The center also offers injectables like Botox and Kybella, per the website.

While Aniston hasn’t ever confirmed if she’s gone under the knife for anti-aging purposes, she has copped to getting a salmon sperm facial in pursuit of more youthful-looking skin.

“But let me explain to you: It’s not like, how do you get sperm out of salmon? It was sort of unclear,” she said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last October. “I just took the woman’s word that’s that what it was, and I was like, ‘Sure!’”

The “Morning Show” star said she follows an “80/20 approach” to health and fitness back in January,

“You’ve got to live your life. No restrictions — except hard drugs,” she told Allure. “It’s the 80/20 approach.”

“Eighty percent healthy living and then 20 percent is: Go have a martini, go have your pizza and burgers and stay up late with your friends,” she continued. “There’s a balance.”

She also told the magazine that she wants to redefine the “rules” of aging, approaching her late 50s with a mindset of “positivity and gratitude.”

“What’s the alternative?” she asked. “I’m trying not to think about growing older. I try not to think about age. The world will always be there telling us what your age is and what women should do in society when you’re this or that.”

“We can make our own rules. It’s all bulls–t,” she added.
