Jeremy Renner is denying the allegations made against him by his former business partner Yi Zhou after she accused the actor of sending “intimate” photos and threatening to “call ICE” on her.
“The allegations being made are totally inaccurate and untrue,” a rep for the actor tells Page Six exclusively.
Zhou, 37, went public with her claims against the actor on Monday, telling her Instagram followers that Renner initially started contacting her in June with “personal and intimate photographs of himself.”
“He convinced me of his sincerity, saying he had been single for a long time and open to a long-term relationship,” she continued. “I believed in him, in the power of love and in the possibility of redemption.”
Zhou — who worked with Renner, 54, on the documentary “Chronicles of Disney” and the animated movie “Stardust Future: Stars and Scars” — went on to allege that the Marvel actor then “entered into written agreements” with her production company but later denied having “any personal relation or professional collaboration.”
“When I called him out privately about his past misconduct and asked him to behave properly, to respect me as a woman and as a filmmaker, he threatened to call immigration/ICE on me, an act that deeply shocked and frightened me,” Zhou shared.
On Thursday, Zhou expanded on her allegations in an interview with the Daily Mail, sharing a screenshot from a video that Renner allegedly sent her on WhatsApp.
The video depicted a male porn actor and female porn actress engaging in a sexual act. Along with the clip, Renner allegedly sent the message, “Oh, yes ? 🤤 This ok ???”
Zhou claimed to have “a collection of those photos and the porn gifs that he sent.”
“I did not reach out to him; he pursued me,” she told Daily Mail. “I didn’t even know his name, never watched a movie of his. He used me and denied me and denied our work.”
After striking up a correspondence with Renner, the two filmmakers allegedly engaged in a brief romance, according to Zhou.
Zhou previously gushed over their relationship in October, telling the Daily Mail that Renner “found new love” with her months after his recovery from his nearly fatal snow plow accident.
Her comments arrived shortly after she previously hinted at their romance by sharing clips and photos of the pair riding through Renner’s Reno, Nev., hometown.
Renner was previously married to Sonni Pacheco, with whom he shares joint custody of their 12-year-old daughter, Ava.
In 2019, Pacheco accused the actor in court filings of substance abuse, threatening to kill her and firing a gun with their daughter present.
At the time, Renner denied Pacheco’s allegations against him, labeling them as “nonsense.”
