Jessica Simpson’s son Ace is growing up right before our eyes.
The “Dukes of Hazzard” actress, 45, put her son’s major growth spurt on display in an adorable snap shared to her Instagram Stories on Thursday.
“My 12-year-old Ace is much taller than his Mama,” she wrote across the photo, which showed the preteen towering over his mother.
The picture appeared to be taken after one of her son’s sporting events, as he wore a Sierra Canyon school jersey and shorts while he sweetly planted a kiss on his mother’s head for the camera.
She added Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me” to play in the background of the post.
“Fun fact… he was born to this tune,” Simpson added.
In addition to Ace, Simpson is also mom to daughters Maxwell, 13, and Birdie, 6. She shares her three children with her estranged husband, Eric Johnson.
The former couple announced their split after 10 years of marriage last January after facing months of breakup speculation.
But they reportedly were able to quickly figure out a comfortable co-parenting schedule for their children, according to a source.
“The kids will always come first,” the insider told People at the time. “They are co-parenting.”
Despite their breakup, the “irresistible” singer has reunited with her estranged husband, 46, on several occasions. In August, the two were spotted supporting Jessica’s sister, Ashlee, at her Las Vegas residency.
Over the holiday season, Simpson revealed she spent Thanksgiving with the ex-NFL star in November — marking their first Thanksgiving since announcing their split.
“We were all together yesterday, over at my mom’s,” she told TMZ, adding that Johnson is “my kids’ father.”
“Family first,” she closed.
