Kamar de los Reyes has died at 56 after a private battle with cancer.

The talented actor – best known for his work on ABC soap opera One Life To Live – died in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve after a brief battle with cancer

A family spokesperson confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter on Monday.

It remains unclear what type of cancer  Kamar had been battling or even when it was diagnosed as it seems like those details were kept very close to the vest.

He first began his signature role as Antonio Vega on One Life To Live in 1995.

He (pictured left in 2006) was best known for his work on ABC soap opera One Life To Live as he began as Antonio Vega in 1995

His character was a former gang member who had unjustly served time in prison for a murder which had been done in self-defense. 

In addition to his work on the ABC soap, video gamers may best know Kamar as the voice to villain Raul Menendez in the Call Of Duty videogames. 

His character was a Nicaraguan arms dealer and terrorist who had an extreme hatred for America.

He portrayed him across several different games including 2012’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II, 2018’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, 2019’s Call of Duty: Mobile and 2021’s Call of Duty: Vanguard.

After his first time portraying Menendez, of his experience he said in an interview with Shacknews Interviews in 2012: ‘I walked away from this experience knowing that I had just finished work on one of the most amazing projects I’ve ever been a part of.’
