Kim Kardashian is being roundly mocked for her awkward runway walk, with fans sniggering that she looked ‘drunk’ or ‘like a tired toddler.’
Her mother Kris Jenner proudly posted a video of Kim on the catwalk for Balenciaga at Paris Fashion Week – the brand’s final show under designer Demna Gvasalia.
But although her supermodel sister Kendall Jenner is an expert at working the runway, Kim’s performance left viewers falling over themselves with laughter.
One fan leapt into the comments and tagged Kendall, asking: ‘can you help your sister’ as another giggled: ‘Go kim give us nothing.’
‘This is how I walk after having 2 margaritas and I’m trying to be inconspicuous when I’m actually intoxicated,’ cracked one Instagram user of Kim, 44.
‘Walking discreetly to the bathroom after eating Taco Bell,’ quipped another, as another compared her to ‘Me sleepwalking from the potty back to my bed at 4am.’

‘Beautiful girl but looks like she’s a bored housewife who’s had too many sherrys and coming to answer the door,’ a fan remarked drily.
Others wrote: ‘Why didn’t she get lessons from Kendal cause that is not the walk kim,’ and: ‘Is she ok? It looks like she’s hurt, nauseous, or drunk.’
‘If you trying to do sultry, it’s really not working out,’ an observer opined, while another felt that Kim looked like ‘Me after my husband says no.’
‘She walks like a girl who wet herself,’ chuckled another Instagram commenter, as another one wondered if she might be ‘constipated.’
Her outfit at the fashion show was a tip of the hat to the famous lace-trim nightie Elizabeth Taylor wore in her 1958 movie Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, starring her opposite Paul Newman and based on a play by Tennessee Williams.
In the caption of her Instagram video of Kim’s runway walk, Kris revealed her daughter was ‘wearing Elizabeth’s personal diamond pendant earrings from Lorraine Schwartz’s private collection.’
Although Kim only officially became a Balenciaga ambassador last year, she has longstanding ties to the brand and is a friend and admirer of Demna’s.
She attended the 2021 Met Gala in a head-to-toe black Balenciaga ensemble by Demna that famously covered her whole head, including her face.

Kim was one of the stars who was heaped with opprobrium after Balenciaga released a controversial ad campaign involving children in 2023.
Some pictures showed children holding teddy-bear-shaped purses that were dressed in what appeared to be bondage gear.
One of the snaps was of a bag on a desk strewn with papers – one of which was a United States Supreme Court ruling involving child pornography.
A particularly controversial photo showed a child lying down on a couch next to a coffee table with empty wineglasses and Stella Artois chalices.
Although Kim was not part of the campaign, her past association with the brand made her a lightning rod for the furious backlash.
Under gathering pressure, she issued a statement denouncing the campaign, saying she was ‘disgusted’ and ‘outraged’ by the pictures.
‘I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with – & the actions I am expecting to see them take to protect children,’ she said, before ultimately retaining her connection to the fashion house.
