Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood dreams are being ‘laughed at’ behind the scenes.

Fresh off her cameo in Charli XCX’s new mockumentary The Moment, the 28-year-old makeup mogul has expressed a desire to pivot into acting, but a Hollywood insider told the Daily Mail that she has a ‘very big hill to climb’ if she’s to achieve that dream.

Reality star Jenner, who is dating Oscar nominee Timothee Chalamet, 30, recently told Vanity Fair that she has ‘gotten a few scripts’ and is interested in doing ‘comedy.’

‘Many are laughing at the Vanity Fair interview,’ our insider said.

‘If she thinks she is going to be an actress, especially in comedy films, the joke is actually on her.’

The insider added that Jenner ‘will get some stuff sent her way due to her connection to Chalamet, and whatever people like [producer] Ryan Murphy will throw at her’, but she is unlikely to bag ‘any meaty roles’ and instead will ‘fill a small part or guest star so some project gets the “Kardashian social media bump”.’

The insider also drew an unflattering parallel to her older sister Kim Kardashian’s critically panned acting debut in the 2008 parody Disaster Movie.

‘Look, her sister Kim was in the comedy spoof Disaster Movie. If Kylie were to do something, it would be a real-life disaster movie.’

The insider claimed it is unlikely that people in the industry will cast her in ‘anything substantial,’ adding: ‘She has a very big hill to climb to prove she is worthy.’

In her Variety Fair interview this week, Jenner boasted about having already received acting offers.

‘I’ve actually gotten a few scripts, nothing that I feel is right yet, but I 100 percent want to do more,’ she said.

‘I really like comedy. I think I’m good at it. Maybe next time I talk to you, I’ll be the lead of an action movie!’

Jenner recently made her silver screen debut playing herself in The Moment, a ‘tour mockumentary’ about British singer Charli XCX’s career-defining BRAT era.

The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January.

Beyond her Hollywood aspirations, Jenner’s empire already includes her powerhouse brand Kylie Cosmetics, her fashion label Khy, and her canned vodka soda Sprinter.

Over recent months, Jenner has been an awards season mainstay with Chalamet, whose starring role in Marty Supreme has earned him an Oscar nomination.

Chalamet won the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actor and a Golden Globe for Best Actor in January and made a very public declaration of love for his girlfriend.

He finished his acceptance speech with a tribute to Jenner, stating: ‘Lastly, I’ll just say, thank you to my partner of three years.’

‘Thank you for our foundation. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.’

Jenner, who has been romantically linked to Chalamet since 2023, was seen in the audience resting her chin on her folded hands and mouthed: ‘I love you.’

Chalamet has been campaigning hard for an Oscar.

The upcoming Academy Awards are set to take place this Sunday, and it is safe to assume that Jenner will join him at the event.

Chalamet faces a stacked Best Actor category, competing against fellow nominees Michael B. Jordan (Sinners), Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent).

The Best Actor race is currently a dead heat. While Chalamet dominated the early season with wins at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards, the momentum shifted after Jordan won at the Actor Awards, formally known as the SAG Awards.

Adding to the tension, the ceremony arrives on the heels of Chalamet’s controversial comments about how ‘no one cares’ about ballet or opera, which sparked a wave of backlash from the arts community.

Meanwhile, another source close to Oscar voters told the Daily Mail that Chalamet’s relationship with Jenner may also impact his chances, noting that ‘in Hollywood, it’s the person you are and who you’ll become that is important.’

‘And the voters of Hollywood’s elite don’t ever want the Kardashian family to infiltrate the Academy Awards,’ the source said. ‘To see him win and then possibly see the Oscar statue on Keeping Up with the Kardashians would be sort of embarrassing.’
