Lauren Sanchez was caught on camera giving husband Jeff Bezos a withering look as they posed together at the Vanity Fair Oscars party – and it sparked fears that there could be trouble in paradise.
On X, formerly Twitter, one user shared a clip of Sanchez, 56, and Bezos, 62, posing for photos together on the red carpet at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on Sunday night.
However, their exchange seemed to raise eyebrows for many viewers.
Sanchez initially draped her arm on Bezos’ shoulder and looked at him lovingly, only for her facial expression to drastically drop just seconds later.
The Amazon tycoon didn’t seem to get the memo to look back at his wife, as the X user pointed out that Sanchez gave him a look that is typically given ‘when divorce is imminent.’
‘This is the look a woman gives a man when he won’t engage with her. This is the treatment a man gives a woman when he’s given up,’ one viewer speculated.
‘He can’t even look at her,’ another wrote, as a third said: ‘That’s just sad.’
Others were less bothered by the exchange, as one wrote: ‘Man, I don’t know. My wife gives me a look like that at times and we are going on 46 years,’ adding a laughing-crying emoji at the end of the message.

So, is something really going on between the pair – or is it just social media speculation?
Upon closer inspection by professional body language expert Judi James, it appears that Sanchez was simply exhibiting signs of disappointment rather than something more serious.
‘Lauren has always looked like the most excited, ecstatic bride since her wedding in Venice, but by slow-mo-ing this one glance to analyze in detail, some fans of the couple appear to have emerged with an over-prescriptive assumption that she might now be through the state of “eternal honeymoon” with husband Jeff,’ James explained to the Daily Mail.
‘Context is important though and rather than a scathing glance, Lauren’s expression here looks more like one of minor disappointment as her flirt signals don’t immediately get met with a complimentary response,’ James said.
The body language expert said that it seems like Sanchez still wants to ‘show off her romance’ with Bezos to the world, but instead, her ‘little mating call either isn’t spotted by or is ignored by Jeff as he works his pose for the cameras.’
‘The couple pose up together side by side before Lauren switches up the pose and the mood in the way many celebrities do by turning to Jeff to attract a more personal form of romantic attention from him for the cameras,’ James told the Daily Mail.
‘She places one hand of affectionate ownership onto his shoulder, making a major diamond statement via the stone flashing on her finger, and she turns her head and eyes to her love, smiling and tilting her head to attract his reciprocal attention,’ she continued.

James pointed out that Bezos seemed ‘distracted’ by the cameras, as he looked away, ‘slightly to his right.’

‘Lauren’s signals of disappointment at this apparent choreographic misstep include the corners of her mouth turning down and the smile dying from her eyes,’ James said.
‘One blink to re-fibrillate her happy face again though and she is excited-bride smiling again as she chats to someone in front of her.’
Their appearance marks their first at the Oscars Vanity Fair party as a married couple, as they threw a lavish wedding in Venice, Italy, last June.
Their nuptials were attended by a slew of stars like Ivanka Trump, Oprah and Kim Kardashian.
The estimated $20 million, multi-day event also included a foam party on Bezos’ yacht, a lavish pre-nuptial dinner and a post-wedding lunch at the iconic Harry’s Bar.
During the Oscars Vanity Fair party, Sanchez looked equally as gorgeous, as she stunned in a strapless gown that featured tiered detailing from the hip and a cheeky thigh-high slit.
Sanchez finished the look off with a pair of tights, chunky heels and a selection of sparkly diamond accessories.
The mom wore her jet-black tresses in a sculpted updo with a few strands loose to frame her face.
On the red carpet, she was also spotted gently ushering Bezos away so she could lap up the limelight alone.
In another clip shared to X, formerly Twitter, Sanchez appeared to gesture for her husband to move out of the way so she could pose for cameras uninterrupted – to which he obliged.
The couple are also set to make an appearance at the Met Gala later this year after footing most of the bill for the May 4 event.
