Athos Salomé, also known as 'Living Nostradamus,' has shared his 2026 celebrity predictions exclusively with the Daily Mail

A man dubbed ‘Living Nostradamus’ has predicted that Sydney Sweeney will be able to dramatically salvage her reputation in 2026 despite her recent controversies, and that Gayle King will officially step back from CBS Mornings.

Athos Salomé earned his title after he accurately predicted dozens of world events including the Microsoft global outage and the coronavirus pandemic.

Now, he has laid bare his prophecies for the year ahead for some of the most contentious celebrities of 2025.

Sharing his forecasts exclusively with the Daily Mail, the 39-year-old Brazilian is adamant that Sweeney will change public perception and enter into a different league altogether next year following a very tumultuous few months.

He also turned his attention to King, Katy Perry and Blake Lively – all of whom have caused a media swirl of late – foreseeing career changes and image overhauls.

Here are all of his celebrity predictions for 2026.

Sydney Sweeney will repair her public persona after a disastrous end to 2025

After a troublesome end to the year, Salomé predicted that Sweeney will be able to salvage her reputation over the course of the next 12 months.

The 28-year-old Euphoria actress’s public persona began to implode in July when she took center stage in a controversial American Eagle jeans campaign.

The ad, which poked fun at her ‘good genes,’ was accused of promoting white supremacy.

Sweeney kept silent on the campaign until November, when she refused to apologize for it during a conversation with GQ, sparking even more backlash in the process.

Adding insult to injury, her recent biopic Christy, in which she played professional boxer Christy Martin, tanked at the box office – although her performance was praised by critics.

While Sweeney has been clinging onto her reputation in recent weeks, Salomé said he believes a U-turn is coming for her in 2026 as a result of her acting performances in the final season of Euphoria and in the upcoming live action Gundam.

‘Euphoria’s return guarantees distinction,’ he said. ‘The reunion of actress and character provides increased opportunities to win television accolades.’

The live-action take on Gundam will also be hugely beneficial for Sweeney, Salomé said.

‘Being in a huge franchise catapults Sweeney into a different league altogether,’ he predicted.

‘She evolves, flourishing from an emerging talent to a player. This evolution significantly alters her reputation, value and also creates fresh opportunities. Positions like these typically shape an actress career over years.’

Gayle King will reimagine her role in US media and step back from being a main co-host on CBS Mornings

After months of swirling rumors about her future at CBS Mornings, Salomé said that King will step back from being a main co-host in 2026.

Speculation about the co-host leaving the network has been rife over the last few months and reached a fever pitch in November when Variety reported that she could be handed a new role amid Paramount’s $8 billion merger with Skydance Media.

King, 70, downplayed any hearsay when asked about the report by the Daily Mail.

‘I’m still there, I’m planning to be there,’ she said, suggesting that she has no plans to leave anytime soon.

Salomé, however, predicted that the new year will see King reevaluate her role in US media and pivot her focus to more ‘flexible’ work.

He added that King will enjoy ‘less live exposure’ which will allow her ‘more room to approach bigger, more thoughtful projects.’

Salomé said the first main transition will occur within CBS and forecasted that Gayle will begin to move away from daily presenting duties by mid-2026.

Despite her predicted withdrawal, he does not believe King is ready to leave the network entirely.

‘CBS is about to restructure her role in a bid to keep her as a big name,’ he said, adding that ‘high-impact specials and big interviews’ will take center stage.

He suggested that King will grow increasingly detached from studio-based appearances, favoring field reporting and international travel.

‘I anticipate she will to be transitioned to a lower fixed salary to more project-based compensation, with more clout as an executive producer,’ said Salomé.

‘It gives her creative control and is also a powerful entity outside of traditional broadcasting.’

Katy Perry will reinvent her brand in 2026 as her relationship with Justin Trudeau grows

Salomé predicted that pop star Katy Perry will spend the next 12 months working on refining her brand as she continues to make strides with her new boyfriend Justin Trudeau.

The Firework hitmaker, 41, confirmed her romance with former Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau, 53, at the end of October, months after they were first romantically linked – and months after she split from Orlando Bloom after nine years.

Salomé said he believes their romance will go from strong to stronger in 2026 and that they will establish themselves as a power couple.

He also predicted that Perry’s public persona will ‘enter a new phase of refinement’ next year.

‘After her prominent involvement in the 2024 US election, she is likely to reduce her engagement with politically charged topics,’ he added.

‘In 2026, her focus should shift towards consensus-building causes such as childhood, education, mental health and technology initiatives with social impact.

‘The larger perspective of 2026 is that of an artist now fully in development, one who balances the global public profile, individual reinvention and strategic choices that will define not only the course of her career, but also the way she will be seen in the next five or ten years.’

Blake Lively will undergo a transformation of her Hollywood career following the It Ends With Us drama

While the past 12 months have largely been dominated by back and forth court filings, Salomé predicted that Blake Lively, 38, is headed for a huge career change in 2026.

While the past 12 months have largely been dominated by back and forth court filings, Salomé predicted that Blake Lively, 38, is headed for a huge career change in 2026.

It’s been a messy year for Blake Lively, who has been embroiled in a bitter ongoing legal battle with her former It Ends with Us co-star Justin Baldoni.

While the past 12 months have largely been dominated by back and forth court filings, Salomé predicted that Lively, 38, is headed for a huge career change in 2026.

For the most part, the Gossip Girl alum has largely been in front of the camera, but Salomé reckoned that she will thrive behind it over the course of the next 12 months.

Salomé said he also believes Lively will focus her efforts on having larger behind-the-scenes involvement in her upcoming projects.

He said this move is in part driven by her role as a co-producer on the upcoming romantic comedy film The Survival List, in which she will also star.

‘She will be taking on less acting roles,’ he said. ‘Instead, she will focus her attention on producing as well as curating and shaping creative projects.’

Salomé also believes that fans will see fewer public appearances from Lively this year.

Instead, he predicts that she will favor events ‘synchronized with important legal and career milestones.’
