Caleb Moore Freundlich is the oldest child of esteemed Hollywood actress Julianne Moore and her longtime director, screenwriter and producer husband, Bart Freundlich.
Unlike his famous parents who are both in front of and behind the camera, he is working tirelessly to carve out a career of his own in the music industry… and it appears to be going well.
Multi-instrumentalist Caleb, who plays guitar and piano, is an up-and-coming alternative R&B artist and works as a composer and songwriter.
The 27-year-old releases music under the name Caleb Moore, and released his debut EP, titled Doing Better last year.
In recent months, he has performed several shows around New York, including an intimate set at McCarren Park House in Greenpoint and The Surf Lodge in Montauk.
In May, he released the music video for his single, Comeback Kid, and in July, he confirmed that his debut album is on the way.
Born on December 4, 1997, Caleb’s love of music began at an early age thanks to the influence of his parents.
‘My parents started me on piano when I was really young, like six, but it wasn’t until I started taking guitar lessons about a year later that I fell in love with music,’ he told Mystic Sons in 2023.

Caleb attended Davidson College, a selected liberal arts college in North Carolina. He graduated with honors during the Covid pandemic in May 2020.
During his four years there, he played on the men’s basketball team at the Division I level.
Following his undergraduate degree, Caleb achieved a master’s degree in music from NYU Steinhardt, and in May of 2022 he was awarded the prestigious Elmer Bernstein Award for Outstanding Collaboration and Engagement from the NYU Steinhardt Screen Scoring department.
Caleb has huge aspirations in the world of music.
In the same 2023 interview, he said it would be his dream to open a show for Tyler, The Creator.
‘His music has been one of my main influences in the last five years especially, and I’m also dying to see him live, so it feels like I could kill two birds with one stone there,’ he told Mystic Sons.

Outside of his music career, Caleb is completely smitten with his fiancé, Kibriyaá Morgan, whom he proposed to in August 2024.
The happy couple went Instagram official in April 2017, graduated from Davidson College together in 2020, and celebrated their eighth anniversary of dating this Valentine’s Day.
