It’s a royal Fourth of July sprinkled with edible flowers!
Meghan Markle shared a glimpse into how she, Prince Harry and their children are spending the holiday in a new post on her As Ever Instagram account.
In the clip, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, posted a short video of herself assembling a charcuterie board in the colors of the American flag.
She wore a blue-and-white striped shirt, similar to the one she donned at Wimbledon in July 2018.
Blueberries, blackberries, watermelon and strawberries, interspersed with star-shaped cheese, bread and crackers, filled the board accented with Markle’s now-famous edible flowers.
The platter also included a small dish of Markle’s jam, which was slammed by a food expert as “runny.”
The clip ended with the board on an outdoor table next to two festive drinks.
Over it, she wrote in elegant calligraphy: “Easy Entertaining Happy 4th of July!”
In the caption, Markle included an American flag emoji.
In 2022, the couple celebrated the holiday by attending a local parade in Wyoming. Two years ago, the family watched their local Montecito July 4th parade.
Prince Harry wrote about celebrating July 4th very early in their relationship.
The couple had their second date on July 4th, 2016, and the Invictus founder wrote in “Spare” that he gifted her an American-themed present.
“She walked in, wearing a pretty blue sundress with white pinstripes,” he wrote. “She was aglow. I stood and said: ‘I bear gifts.’ A pink box. I held it forward. She shook it. ‘What’s this?’ “
“She opened the box,” the Prince, 40, continued. “Cupcakes. Red, white and blue cupcakes, to be exact. In honor of Independence Day. I said something about the Brits having a very different view of Independence Day from the Yanks, but oh, well.”
In another post, Markle shared photos of the cupcakes and a sweet photo of the couple on the date, along with cupcakes her children had decorated.
“Our second date was the 4th of July 2016 and H brought me cupcakes to celebrate. Now, all these years later, our two children are in on the tradition,” she wrote alongside the pics. “Happy Independence Day! May your day be as sweet as these cupcakes 🧁”.
Since launching the Instagram account, the “Suits” alum has been sharing snaps and videos of the couple’s children: Prince Archie, 6 and Princess Lilibet, 4.
Earlier this month, she received backlash after posting a throwback video of their “Baby Momma Dance” in the delivery room to celebrate Lili’s birthday.
