Mel B has confirmed that a Spice Girls comeback isn’t in the works, despite recent reports claiming that the group were reuniting for their 30th anniversary.
Speaking to the Daily Mail at an event to celebrate her role as the new global ambassador of Revive Collagen, the 50-year-old shot down rumors of the group’s return.
‘Well, I’m always saying there’s gonna be a reunion. I’m always the one going, “Yes, it will happen! I’m gonna will it to happen!” But nothing’s happening,’ she said.
When asked if there’s any chance of the Spice Girls returning as a trio, much like Nicole Scherzinger has done with the Pussycat Dolls, Mel seemed less than enthused by the idea.
‘I don’t know about that. I mean, there’s five Spice Girls. You know what I mean?’ she said.
‘I would love to go on tour no matter what, but… I’m gonna go and see the Pussycat Dolls. I love them!’

There have been rumors for months that the Spice Girls would be reuniting to celebrate their upcoming 30th anniversary
Mel isn’t the first Spice Girl to shoot down reunion speculation, with Mel C recently emphasizing that there are zero plans for a 30th anniversary comeback, despite reports claiming that the group had been trying to reach an agreement on a possible reunion last year.
‘We are communicating all the time. We want to do something. Who knows when, but I still feel very optimistic and I keep my fingers crossed that you will see the Spice Girls together at some point in the future,’ Mel C told Australia’s The Smallzy Show.
It comes weeks after it was reported that a Netflix project to celebrate the group’s anniversary had also been cancelled, with sources claiming Geri Halliwell in particular had been dragging her heels on whether or not to sign on.
While there’s no plans for a reunion right now, Mel B is keeping busy with her role on America’s Got Talent and her new gig as Revive Collagen’s global ambassador.
Scary Spice partnered with the brand to promote their new collagen menopause range after she experienced a tough menopause herself.
‘Women are gonna go through menopause no matter what. It can start in their thirties. They can still be going through it when they’re 60. So I’m 50, and when I turned 50, I started getting all these hot sweats, my hair started thinning. I got anxiety,’ she explained.
‘I was in a 10-year very coercive, abusive marriage. So coming out of that, I had a lot of anxiety and a lot of stress and worry, and then bam, I was hit with menopause and I’m like, “Why is nobody talking about this?”
‘Women are committing suicide. Women are divorcing their husbands. Women feel like they’re losing their minds. They’re being put on antidepressants. They’re being put on anti-anxiety [medication] when it’s just menopause. I mean, it’s not JUST menopause, but going through menopause is a huge thing,’ she continued.

‘It starts to drive you mad so I can understand why some women don’t wanna really talk about it because it’s embarrassing, but every woman’s going through it, or they’re gonna be going through it, and I’m all about empowering women from being in the Spice Girls.’
Mel said that she tested out Revive Collagen for two months before partnering with the brand, with the singer insisting that it’s helped her deal with some symptoms.
The Tell Me hitmaker celebrated her new role with the brand at a launch party at Soho House Holloway in West Hollywood on Thursday.
She was joined by a number of celebrities at the event, including actress Gabourey Sidibe, TV host Kamie Crawford, Girlicious singer Natalie Mejia, and Olympic athlete Alysha Newman.
Mel showed off her incredible figure at the event in a sparkling silver miniskirt and matching crop top.

Revive Collagen, which sells ready-to-drink liquid collagen supplements, has exploded in popularity, becoming Europe’s fastest-growing collagen brand.
Sam has brought serious star power to the table, enlisting English media personality Amanda Holden and A-list hairstylist Chris Appleton as faces of the brand prior to Mel signing on.
Meanwhile, Mel is currently busy with her judging spot on America’s Got Talent.
She returned to the popular competition series last year for the 20th season and is currently filming season 21.
