Mel C shared a sweet moment with Mel B’s daughter Phoenix at the SuperDry & Co event in London on Tuesday evening.

Sporty Spice, real name Melanie Chisholm, 51, was a special guest at the event and did an hour long DJ set, where she played iconic hits from the band including Say You’ll Be There.

Before she took to the stage, Phoenix, 26, was behind the decks to entertain the VIP crowd, which included Lottie Moss, Laura Whitmore, and Jim Chapman.

When Mel C took to the stage, Phoenix hyped her up and was cheering from the side.

Once Mel caught a glimpse of her, she shouted down the microphone, ‘hello Phoenix!’ and they shared a sweet embrace.

A source told the Daily Mail: ‘It was a really sweet moment. Mel C and Mel B have always been close so Phoenix is like family to her.

‘Phoenix would love to see The Spice Girls reunite and see the pair back in action with their bandmates.’

The pair joined guests in celebration SuperDry & Co’s new flagship store on Oxford Street.

It comes after Mel C delighted Spice Girls fans as she revealed the band are considering a reunion for their thirtieth anniversary next year.

The Spice Girls, made up of Mel C, Mel B, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, and Geri Horner, disbanded in 2001.

The singer appeared on Good Morning America on Wednesday to promote her ninth album Sweat, when she was grilled if the Spice Girls would come back together.

Crossing her fingers, Mel said: ‘I remain optimistic. It’s our thirtieth anniversary next year.

‘We toured in 2019, we did a few stadium shows in the UK and it was incredible.

‘We’re just so proud of the legacy that we have and we have fans now from new generations are just loving the Spice Girls so I would like to get back on stage with the girls.

‘We’re talking and we’re seeing what opportunities are out there. The thing that stops us is we feel so precious about it, we want to make sure it’s the right thing and agree on the right thing.’

Last month Victoria was supported by her bandmates Geri, Melanie C and Emma Bunton when her Netflix documentary was released.

Meanwhile, all five bandmates attended Victoria’s 50th birthday last year as they celebrated the milestone birthday together.

During the lavish festivities, all five of the Spice Girls came together to sing one of their hit tracks, Stop, for the star-studded guests – which was all caught on camera by David Beckham.
