A wardrobe fit for a queen?
First lady Melania Trump has been turning heads with her designer ensembles during her visit to the UK, and tonight’s look was the crown jewel.
Wearing a bright yellow off-the-shoulder dress cinched at the waist with a baby pink belt, the 55-year-old former model looked regal in Windsor Palace, where she and President Trump dined with Kate Middleton, Prince William, Queen Camilla and King Charles III.
She accessorized with large emerald-and-diamond earrings.
Although Melania has not always adhered to royal protocol, this floor-length gown met the castle’s rigid standards.
Earlier today, the FLOTUS stepped out in a wide-brimmed hat and gray skirt suit by Dior. She and Kate Middleton wore coordinating jewel tones that ranged from rich maroon to plum.
Not known for being verbose, Mrs. Trump often uses her attire to convey her thoughts.
She kicked off this visit by boarding Air Force One in a classic trench coat by Burberry. The British brand’s signature plaid motif peeked out of the floor-length outerwear, which was worn with Dior’s Empreinte riding boots — a black, knee-high style with a gold “CD” clasp at the ankle.
The Princess of Wales opted for a different sort of golden gown for tonight’s state banquet, arriving in a metallic lace evening coat and silk crepe dress by Phillipa Lepley.
She topped off her look with the Lover’s Knot Tiara and the late Queen Elizabeth II’s earrings.
