The Green Bay Packers fans were no doubt more than pleased to see Chicago Bears quarterback, Caleb Williams, throw an overtime interception to Los Angeles Rams safety, Kamren Curl – Williams’ third of the day – that ultimately saw the Bears’ time in the postseason come to an end.
The Bears saw off Green Bay in spectacular fashion last weekend in the Wild Card round, coming back from a 21-3 deficit at half time only to secure a late win in the fourth quarter, 31-27.
After a week of taunting and having the upper hand – which included Chicago fans singing expletive chants about the Packers prior to their Divisional Round matchup on Sunday – Green Bay finally got to see the Bears suffer the same playoff-exiting fate.
And four-time All-Pro edge rusher, Micah Parsons, went to X to give Bears fans some of their own medicine after the game.
Micah Parsons Puts Bears And Packers In The Same Boat
“We all here now,” Parsons wrote on X, quote tweeting a picture of Williams in Bears uniform playing volleyball at the beach, implying that the QB – alongside other Chicago and Green Bay players – can go on their beach vacations as both of theirs seasons are now over.
Parsons missed the last four games of the season, during which the Packers went 0-4, after tearing his ACL in the second half of the loss against the Denver Broncos in Week 15.
Without the former Cowboy, Green Bay’s defense missed much of the bite that comes with Parsons’ relentless pressure and pursuit, particularly in dealing with a top-level scrambler inside and outside the pocket in Caleb Williams.
But the team – and the Packers faithful – will breathe a collective sigh of relief that Chicago’s playoff run has been halted at the Divisional round, and that they – like Green Bay – will soon go off for their much-deserved winter vacation.
Do The Bears Have The Upper Hand Over Green Bay In 2026?
The Packers have long been the envy of the NFC North, even in years when they have not managed to secure a division title, which head coach, Matt LaFleur has not managed to succeed in doing since Aaron Rodgers‘ final MVP season back in 2021.
But over the past half decade, the tides have slowly started to turn. The Detroit Lions have turned into a functional franchise under head coach, Dan Campbell and quarterback, Jared Goff, and now the Bears with Williams and head coach, Ben Johnson, look like they could be a force to reckon with moving forward.
Indeed, even the Minnesota Vikings, who suffered from borderline unwatchable quarterback play for large chunks of the season under second year pro, JJ McCarthy, managed to obtain a winning record, 9-8, in 2025.
The Packers’ culture and stability is still the north star for the North, but there is no doubt what was once one of the consistently weakest divisions in all of football has now turned into a highly competitive arena filled with threats from all sides.
