Allison Holker has been embroiled in a nasty family feud with her late husband Stephen 'tWitch' Boss' family, court documents obtained by the Daily Mail reveal

Just before Valentine’s Day, Allison Holker, widow of the late Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, announced that she was engaged to her boyfriend Adam Edmunds.

But what should be a blissful era for anyone else has seemingly been overshadowed by yet another family feud behind the scenes three years after her husband’s death.

Boss, best known for being Ellen DeGeneres’ sidekick on her TV show, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a Los Angeles motel at the age of 40 in December 2022.

Since then, Holker, 38, has attempted to pick up the pieces and care for their children Maddox, nine, and Zaia, six, as well as her daughter Weslie, 17, whom tWitch had adopted and helped raise.

Two months after tWitch’s passing, Holker released a memoir, This Far: My Story of Love, Loss and Embracing the Light. Members of the Boss family, however, said they were blindsided by some of the claims she made about the late performer, and they alleged they were forced to sign an NDA prior to his funeral.

Now, the Daily Mail can exclusively reveal more accusations Holker faces, as unveiled in a scathing lawsuit filed by tWitch’s mother, Connie Boss Alexander.

She sought the court’s intervention after she became fearful that her relationship with her grandkids would ‘deteriorate’ and that she’d be faced with a ‘permanently disrupted’ family bond.

Boss’ mom, Connie, alleges she’s been ‘cut off’ by Allison from seeing her grandchildren

In September 2025, Connie filed a Petition for Grandparent Visitation against Allison, alleging her relationship with her grandkids has changed following her son’s death – describing it as a ‘unilateral and retaliatory decision’ by the dancer.

‘Unfortunately, shortly following my son’s passing, [Allison] refused to allow me or any other members of our family to communicate with or see the Minor Children.

‘My hope is that this Court can grant me limited grandparent visitation in a way that neither infringes on [Allison’s] autonomy or disrupts their life. I believe it in the best interests of the Children to continue to have a relationship with their father’s family, especially now that he is no longer present in their lives,’ she stated in the filing.

The 62-year-old went on to explain that tWitch was the ‘primary point of contact’ connecting her with her grandkids since she lives in Arizona and the kids lived in California at the time.

‘After Stephen passed, things changed,’ she alleged, noting that she no longer had frequent correspondence with the kids – including phone calls, FaceTime, text or social media messaging she says took place ‘multiple times per week.’

She continued: ‘I did my best during that first year to stay in touch and maintain some consistency, especially for the sake of the Children. But it became difficult as Respondent (Allison) began distancing herself, often expressing frustration over public comments she believed our family should have addressed.

‘At times, contact would be cut off altogether and only resumed after I reached out repeatedly. Over time, our communication became increasingly infrequent, and at this point, we’re no longer in contact despite my numerous attempts.’

The comments the family have made about Allison seemingly refers to Connie accusing her of tarnishing tWitch’s legacy with debt and drug claims in her memoir.

A source close to the family previously told the Daily Mail how furious the family was at the time after Allison came out with the memoir, believing she was ‘misleading’ the public and ‘not telling the full truth.’

Since Connie filed the lawsuit against Allison, the parties have argued for months, through their attorneys, about Connie’s involvement with her grandchildren.

Allison argued that what her mother-in-law was alleging wasn’t true and that she ‘facilitated phone calls, FaceTime calls and visits with [Connie] and the children.’ Furthermore, the Dancing with the Stars alum says that she has even ‘invited [Connie] to see the children and Petitioner declined the invitation.’

In a filing from January 26, 2026, Connie alleged that she was only invited to see the kids on two occasions in 2025, prior to her filing the petition – once in February to read her son’s personal journals and another time after Allison’s lawyers had informed her of the lawsuit filing.

Allison, however, argued that she had invited Connie on ‘numerous occasions’ – one of which was on Grandparents’ Day in May 2025 at Maddox’s school, but Connie stated she couldn’t take time off from work to attend – and also has ‘numerous texts and phone records’ as proof.

As seen in a text message sent by Allison, she wrote to Connie: ‘I have never hindered you from seeing the kids… Despite the continual public narrative to the contrary, the door has always been open to you anytime you want to visit.’

She continued: ‘I think it’s also important to acknowledge that we’ve received no phone calls, FaceTimes, text messages, emails or any sort of invitation for the kids and me to see you in Arizona, which we are also happy to consider.’

Connie replied to the text message, per the court document: ‘As I’ve shared from the beginning, you and the children have always been welcome to visit in Arizona. That has never changed. It was disappointing to receive a letter from your attorney stating that you’ve moved on, and to learn of your relocation without any type of communication.’

In Allison’s response filing from February 2, 2026, she claimed Connie only called the children once in 2025 prior to her filing the petition, and that it was on March 27 ‘when she called to wish Maddox happy birthday.’

She added: ‘If Connie had called to speak to the children between April and September 2025 the children would likely have told her about our move as they were very excited about it and told everyone. At all times Connie has had all of the children’s contact information, including my telephone number and email and my assistant’s email and telephone number.’

Another argument that they could not come to terms with is the date that Allison moved the family from California to Utah permanently.

Public records show that Allison’s former home in Studio City, California – a six-bedroom, seven-bath – was sold in September 2025 for $4.75 million, months after it was put up for sale in April.

Connie argued that Allison did not inform her that she moved to Utah and that she only found out through her Instagram account in August 2025, but did not know if it was a ‘permanent or temporary’ move.

‘I was unaware that [Allison] had purchased a permanent residence in Utah until attempts to personally serve her were made in September 2025 after the filing of my Petition. At that time, I learned that Respondent purchased a custom-built home in Alpine, Utah for approximately $5.5 million dollars. Contrary to [Allison’s] claims, public records reflect that the property was not acquired until July 3,’ Connie said.

She even threw shade at the pricey purchase – noting that Allison can afford litigation: Allison ‘maintains an affluent lifestyle, as evidenced by her purchase of a $5.5 million custom-built residence and her frequent international travel’, which includes’ traveling on private jets and visiting five-star hotels.’

In Allison’s reply from February 2, 2026, she clarified that she purchased a home in Utah in March 2025, which was new construction, and that she moved in June 2025 after the kids completed the school year.

She also said that the January 2026 Instagram photo of her in Dubai is a photo of a trip she took back in February 2025, which was a birthday gift from her then-boyfriend – Edmunds, a CEO of a Utah property management software company. She even attached her plane ticket to the lawsuit as proof.

Allison’s residency was a big argument in the lawsuit since her lawyer attempted to get the lawsuit thrown out due to lack of jurisdiction in California.

Connie, however, said that she filed in California because ‘the Children had lived in California for their entire lives prior to the move’ and she ‘believed in good faith that this Court retained jurisdiction to issue orders concerning the Minor Children.’

In a February 11, 2026 filing, in a minute order filed after the court hearing, the California court dismissed the case for lack of jurisdiction. ‘The Court finds California lacks personal and subject matter jurisdiction over [Allison] and minor children, and order the entire action dismissed,’ the filing read.

It is unclear whether Connie has plans to re-file the lawsuit in another state – Arizona where she lives or Utah where Allison and the children live.

When reached for comment, Connie’s lawyer told the Daily Mail: ‘I’m not at liberty to discuss my client’s case.’

In February 2025, a GoFundMe was created by Stephen’s uncle Alan Boss, who stated the fundraiser was started to support the Boss’ family’s ‘financial strain of moving forward with a legal exploration’ since they had a lot of ‘unanswered questions’ surrounding his death.

By December 2025, the Boss family had raised over $48,000 and shared an update that the contributions were going towards litigation.

‘As we begin to bring 2025 to a close, we wanted to circle back and share our deep gratitude. We have been careful about sharing updates due to the sensitivity of our family matters. Your contributions are supporting us in some legal inquiries that could not be handled without you,’ they wrote.

‘We are keeping this fund open and as we can share updates in the new year, we will.’
