1
‘The House of the Spirits’ (2026)
Adapted from the celebrated novel by Isabel Allende, The House of the Spirits is an eight-episode magical realist miniseries that explores the multigenerational saga of the Trueba family. Previously adapted as a 1993 film, the series is set in a remote, conservative South American country and follows the family’s lives, loves, and conflicts over the course of half a century. The show stars Alfonso Herrera, Dolores Fonzi, Nicole Wallace, Rochi Hernández, and more in key roles.
Taking inspiration from a literary masterpiece, Prime Video’s The House of the Spirits is a highly acclaimed generational drama that has earned praise for its rich story, stunning visuals, and compelling performances. The series is a deeply layered and artistic character drama steeped in magical realism, with a similar energy to Gabriel García Márquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude. It’s easily one of Prime Video’s most fascinating new miniseries of 2026, and though it hasn’t quite received the attention it deserves from mainstream audiences, the show is more than worth a watch.
2
‘The Bondsman’ (2025)
Created by Grainger David and starring Kevin Bacon, The Bondsman is an action horror series that follows a bounty hunter whose life takes a supernatural turn. Hub Halloran (Bacon) is murdered while tracking a bounty, only to be brought back to life to hunt down demons that have escaped Hell. Besides Bacon, the show also stars Jennifer Nettles, Beth Grant, Damon Herriman, Maxwell Jenkins, and Jolene Purdy in lead roles.
Though it was canceled after just one season, The Bondsman is a hilarious and gory action horror show that masterfully blends violent horror and dark humor. Anchored by Bacon’s charming lead performance, the series delivers a pulpy and wildly entertaining experience, and despite its cancellation, the show was quite well-received by critics and fans. Slick, outlandish, and thoroughly fun, The Bondsman is a must-watch for Kevin Bacon fans and fans of classic pulp horror.
3
‘Clarkson’s Farm’ (2021–Present)
Starring Top Gear and The Grand Tour presenter Jeremy Clarkson, Clarkson’s Farm is a British reality docuseries directed by Gavin Whitehead, Will Yapp, and Kit Lynch-Robinson. The series follows Clarkson as he runs a farm near Chipping Norton, and it has received great praise for raising international awareness of the British farming industry. The show has also reportedly inspired renewed interest in farming in the UK and helped highlight the struggles faced by farmers.
An entertaining work of reality television with a delightful sense of humor, Clarkson’s Farm premiered in 2021 and became an instant hit with critics and audiences. The show is an unexpectedly grounded turn for its star, who takes a back seat to knowledgeable and funny locals who really steal the show. Popular both globally and domestically in the United Kingdom, the docuseries’ fifth and latest season premiered in June 2026 to a warm reception.
