The Night Agent premiered on Netflix on March 23, 2023, and it’s officially the biggest Netflix release of the year so far. Fans watched more than 500 million hours of the series in its first few weeks after release, and it’s already on the Netflix Top 10 all time and moving up!
The series is based on the book of the same name by Matthew Quirk. Shawn Ryan developed the adaptation for Netflix, and it’s great! If you like spy shows, you have to watch this one on Netflix.
The Night Agent follows Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), who is an FBI agent who answers a phone for spies in the basement of the White House. When Peter gets a distress call from a non-spy named Rose (Luciane Buchanan), he does everything he can to do to help her, which leads them on an investigation with high stakes.
The Night Agent was so successful that Netflix ordered The Night Agent season 2 just days after the premiere. The new season arrives in 2024. Stay tuned for more news about the new season.
