Anime is already filled with amazing crossovers, but some might be too good to ever come true. There’s nothing like seeing two or more series come together to create an amazing moment that almost feels like it shouldn’t exist. Every time multiple series converge into one moment, it’s unforgettable.
Some of the best anime crossovers of all time feel magical. These moments see characters from entirely different series come together, usually with a common goal, and interact with each other for the first time on page and on screen.
These are the moments that every fan waits for. Watching Goku meet Monkey D. Luffy felt like a fever dream in the best way possible, and that was just the tip of the iceberg. There are a ton of crossovers fans are still waiting for, but they’re so amazing, they may never come true.

Slam Dunk and Kuroko no Basket
Two of the Greatest Basketball Series Ever
There are a ton of great sports anime out there, but there are few that really capture the tension and grit found in sports, like Kuroko no Basket and Slam Dunk. Slam Dunk is one of the progenitors of modern sports anime, and Kuroko no Basket took everything that Slam Dunk put forward and ran with it.
These series are easily two of the greatest sports anime of all time. Slam Dunk holds up years after it was released, and Kuroko no Basket is the perfect modern take on basketball. While it will most likely never happen, it would be amazing to see these two series come together.

K-On! and Bocchi the Rock!
A Pair of the Best Girl Bands Around
There’s nothing quite like CGDCT (Cute Girls Doing Cute Things) anime. It’s a hilarious, adorable, light-hearted genre perfect for every kind of anime lover, and no two series capture the theme of the subgenre quite like K-On! and Bocchi the Rock!.
Both sets of characters from each show are the perfect embodiments of what the genre looks to be. They’re effortlessly funny, incredibly determined, and make every episode that they appear in a must-watch.
If the two bands from each respective series could get together on stage for even a single performance, it would be a monumental moment in anime history. They each have some of the most passionate musicians around, and together, they can bring the most out of one another.

Light and Lelouch
Two Sociopaths Working Together (or Against Each Other)
Light Yagami is one of the smartest characters in anime, and one of his only intellectual rivals in the art form is Lelouch Lamperouge. They’re not only two of the smartest people around, but two characters willing to go to extreme lengths to achieve their goals.
Both characters see other people as pawns in their own twisted games, and while they say they’re working towards justice, that might not always be the case. If these two characters were to work together, there wouldn’t be anyone smart enough to bring them down.

Series like Nier: Automata Ver 1.1a and Re:Zero show the darker sides of anime, placing their heroes in the bleakest scenarios time and time again
Light and Lelouch are both selfish and narcissistic, however, so watching them work against each other might be more likely (and more entertaining). Light already beat L in a game of wits, so Lelouch might be the final boss he never knew that he was waiting for.

Frieren in Dungeon Meshi
Frieren Would Love Exploring These Dungeons
Frieren from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has quickly become one of the most popular anime characters of all time. She’s as intelligent as she is nonchalant, and her curiosity always gets the best of her. She would fit so well in the world of Delicious in Dungeon that it’s a wonder why she hasn’t made a crossover appearance already.
The world of Delicious in Dungeon is teeming with wonders at every corner. As the party descends deeper into the dungeon they find themselves in, they only encounter weirder and weirder objects and creatures. Frieren would be like a kid in a candy store, exploring every nook and cranny even if it means getting eaten by a mimic.
Frieren is incredibly powerful; she would hold her own in the dangerous dungeons Marcille, Laios, and Senshi are in. It would also be hilarious to watch Fern try and hold Frieren back from the world of mystery she finds herself in.

Tanya the Evil and Maple
Two of the Most Contrasting Isekai Series Created
The Saga of Tanya the Evil and Bofuri: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense are two of the best isekai series of all time, and they couldn’t be more different. Bofuri is a fun, cute, easy-going adventure starring one of the most naively powerful main characters in anime.
If the title “The Saga of Tanya the Evil” didn’t give viewers an idea of what the series is about, the titular Tanya will. She’s one of the most unhinged characters in anime, and she’s amazing because of it. She’s a force to be reckoned with, a walking one-man-army, and a character willing to destroy everything in her path if it means accomplishing her goal.

It would be beyond hilarious to see Tanya in Maple’s online world. Her sadism contrasting against Maple’s kind nature might be one of the funniest interactions in anime.

All the JoJos
Each Generation of JoJo Together For the First Time
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is a must-watch for every anime fan, and the titular JoJos are a major reason why. Somehow, series creator Hirohiko Araki has managed to give each of the Joestar descendants a unique personality that works perfectly for the series that they’re in and the role they play within it.
A few of the Joestars have managed to meet one another, but the main six have never met each other at the same time. It would be incredible to watch Jonathan, Joseph, Jotaro, Josuke, Giorno, and Jolyne all meet at once.

Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece
The Big Three Together at Last
For a long time, Bleach, One Piece, and Naruto dominated anime. To this day, they’re referred to as “The Big Three” of shōnen, and it’s easy to see why. Each series ran for hundreds of episodes, rarely had even the slightest dip in quality, and redefined the shōnen genre entirely.
The Big Three made their names in the early 2000s, and 20 years later, they’re all still currently airing in one form or another. One Piece has surpassed 1,000 episodes, Naruto has a sequel series titled Boruto that is still running, and Bleach’s Thousand Year Blood War arc is bringing the series back to its peak.

Goku vs. Saitama
The Two Strongest Characters in Anime
There is no anime crossover quite as sought after as Goku vs. Saitama. Not only do fans want to see these two characters together, but everyone wants them to fight to see who is stronger. Goku has always been considered one of, if not the absolute, strongest characters in anime.
Saitama isn’t just strong: he’s a subversion of the shōnen genre. He’s the star of one of the funniest anime series of all time that flips shōnen on its head. While Goku can power through almost every fight that he’s part of, Saitama ends them with a single punch.
Goku has reached godhood in the latest iteration of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Super. His body dodges attacks on its own, and even the gods themselves can barely understand the power he’s capable of. A fight between the two would bring an entire galaxy to its knees, and hopefully one day, we’ll get it.
