Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is packed full of fascinating enemies, the toughest of which will reward you with valuable loot. Chromatic Nevrons are one enemy type that is guaranteed to drop valuable loot, typically a powerful weapon or Pictos and some sort of upgrade material or tint. Tracking down all of these tough enemies takes a lot of work, as many of these enemies are located off the beaten path.
Every Chromatic Nevron enemy in the game is found through the main story, side quests, or just through general exploration. Chromatic Nevrons drop some of the best Pictos and weapons in Clair Obscur, and there are nearly fifty of these enemy types scattered around the Continent. These foes are typically an advanced version of a lesser enemy, with enhanced skills, defenses, and additional buffs that make them challenging.
Chromatic Nevron Locations – Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Nearly 50 Different Chromatic Nevron Enemies To Defeat
You will need to do a bit of searching around to find every Chromatic Nevron enemy in Clair Obscur, as some of the tougher ones are hidden deep in the mysterious corners of the Continent. You can expect to find at least one Chromatic Nevron in each major story area, but they will also be located in optional areas across all three Acts.
These enemies also randomly roam around the Continent overworld. Most of the late-game Chromatic Nevron enemies require flight or other specific abilities, but some even require Esquie’s underwater diving ability to be reached.
Some Nevrons are inaccessible until you reach late points in the game, but you can always return to them at later points. This is especially useful against some of the hardest ones to defeat, who you might want to return to when your party is at a higher level.
Certain Chromatic Nevrons you run into early are going to be incredibly overpowered. Normally, it’s a good idea to try to increase your party’s strength a bit before returning to take them on. While some of these enemies do drop weapons or Pictos, others unlock Monoco’s skills or reward you with useful Tints, making each of them worth fighting eventually.

Best Chromatic Nevron Rewards In Clair Obscur
Chromatic Nevrons Drop The Best Weapons In Expedition 33
As you can tell, most of the weapons you’ll acquire throughout the game can be dropped by Chromatic Nevron enemies. However, the above weapons can sometimes be found in alternate locations, and sometimes you may receive Chroma instead of any instruments of war.
Oftentimes, you may receive an upgraded version of a specific weapon while playing in Clair Obscur‘s NG+ mode. Among the best weapons from Chromatic Nevron enemies are Lune’s Angerim, which is an excellent Fire-based weapon, and Sciel’s
Moisson, which converts all damage to Dark.
Weapons and Pictos are great rewards from Chromatic Nevrons, but keep in mind that as optional bosses, these foes always drop rare resources too. Grandiose Chroma Catalysts, Colours of Lumina, and other items are almost always exclusive drops from these optional bosses.
Arguably, the Pictos drops from Chromatic Nevrons are even more desirable than some of the weapons, such as Energising Burn if you’re running a Burn-based Maelle build. Some other great rewards are the Anti-Stun and
Anti-Blight Pictos, as these can be equipped as Luminas to make characters immune to Stun or Blight effects.
Pictos dropped by Chromatic Nevrons tend to provide incredible buffs or bonuses to your party members, helping you create a balanced team with unique strengths. Many Pictos, both defensive and offensive, will become extremely useful as you enter endgame areas of Clair Obscur, or dare to take on extra challenges like the Endless Tower.
Overall, there are a ton of Chromatic Nevron enemies to keep you busy for a while, with each giving you rewards that make defeating them a worthwhile effort. With each Chromatic Nevron giving your characters lots of XP, unlocking trophies/achievements as well, finding the location of each in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a great way to gain rare loot and help your party grow stronger.
