With such a large world with many open-world locations, it’s no wonder that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has quite a few collectibles to hunt down, including piano sheet music. Unlike some collectibles, the piano music sheets have a purpose; once one is collected, you can play that song with a guide. These sheets are scattered across the map, and collecting them all is a challenging task.
You don’t need the sheet music to play the piano in FF7 Rebirth. You can play your tune using the joystick and bumper controls, but the music gives players something to follow along with and play classic Final Fantasy 7 tunes. There are even rewards for A-Ranking all the songs, so collecting music might even capture some low-level Materias to level early.
FF7 Rebirth: Every Summon Unlock Location
Summon Materia can conjure powerful entities to fight alongside your party in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but they can be fairly difficult to unlock.
Every Piano Music Location In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
The following are all pieces of sheet music in the game, so there is a slight warning for location name spoilers. All of these require leaving the Grasslands starting area of FF7 Rebirth, which might take a while if you follow every thread the area has to offer.

Of all these pieces of music, only “One Winged Angel” is not collected from a piano in the world. Instead, you must first collect all 88 other Collectors’ Items, one of which must be obtained by A-ranking the previous 6 pieces of music. Then, return to Johnny’s Seaside Inn and talk to Johnny. After talking with him, he’ll unlock his cache, giving you the “One Winged Angel” sheet music.
How To Play The Piano In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
The piano can be tricky at first, but the mechanics are relatively simple to understand. One important thing to note for your A-Ranking attempts is that Dorian doesn’t care how fast you play the song. Instead of speed, focus on making your notes as accurate as possible.
You can miss about 10-15% of the notes and still A-Rank
,
so don’t stress too much about being perfect.
While playing off-sheet music, the radial wheel will highlight upcoming notes in blue. Watch for those blue notes in faster songs where multiple notes may come quickly. Finally, to reduce input lag/audio timing issues, it is recommended that players plug USB headphones directly into the PS5 controller’s USB port.
For players using standard headphones, connect via the 3.5mm port at the bottom of the DualSense controller, then go to “Settings > Accessories > Controller (General)” and change the Communication Method to “Use USB Cable.” This will further reduce lag when the DualSense controller is plugged in with a USB, and it is not the only setting players might want to change when starting FF7 Rebirth.
Whether you’re a Collectible hunter or not, finding the piano sheet music allows players to enjoy the classic music of the series. From interesting character themes to a quirky Chocobo tribute piece, the piano will let players take a break from their heroics and make some music. Collecting in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth can be as challenging (or simple) as rewarding, so search away.
