Born Again Star Dismisses Foggy Nelson Rumors

Daredevil: Born Again actor shut down fan rumors for good at LA Comic Con. Elden Henson, who portrays Franklin “Foggy” Nelson in both the original Netflix series and the Disney+ reboot, revealed that his character will not be returning for season 2.

When asked if Foggy would return during an LACC panel, Henson broke his fans’ hearts. The actor stated, “I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it’s just not happening.” The response from the crowd after he said his character wouldn’t be returning was one of pure sadness and disappointment, as there were so many theories regarding his return.

Foggy was a beloved character in both the comics and the Netflix series. However, when Disney rebooted Daredevil: Born Again, they ended up killing him off in the very first episode. The district attorney was tragically shot by Bullseye during the beginning of the episode, making his passing even worse for fans who were excited about the relaunch.

The scene shocked and even enraged some fans. However, when rumors began to swirl about the character resurfacing, fans seemed to lighten up a little bit. Unfortunately, Henson’s straightforward answer confirmed that all these claims of Foggy coming back for season 2 were all untrue.

It’s very disheartening that Henson revealed that he won’t be returning to the second season of the show. However, his response should be taken with a grain of salt. The MCU is notorious for its fakeouts, telling its actors to lie so their appearance in a movie or show would be a surprise.

The perfect example of this was when Spider-Man: No Way Home was in production. Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire vehemently denied that they would be in the film. However, when the movie came out, the two Spider-Men weren’t just there, but also heavily featured.

Henson might be telling the truth, and Foggy won’t be in the upcoming chapter of the show. But, there is just as good a chance that this might be the MCU and Disney trying to pull one over on fans again. Only time will tell if the “deceased” lawyer will return for Daredevil: Born Again season 2.

While there is no official release date for Daredevil: Born Again season 2 at the time of this article’s publication, the show is expected to return in March 2026 on Disney+.
