Chainsaw Man may be entering its final arc based on recent comments by the series’ longtime editor. After 7 years of publication, the hints that Tatsuki Fujimoto’s beloved manga might be ending soon is certain to inspire mixed emotions in fans who have been loyally following the series week to week.
The hints that Chainsaw Man is reaching its ending come from editor Rin Shihei in a post on X. Though the post is mainly a promo for the manga’s 23rd volume, Shihei opens it by teasing, “Finally, the story reaches its core…!” This seems to suggest that Chainsaw Man might only have a volume or two left before it ends.
Chainsaw Man Fans Have Been Speculating That The Series Would End For Sometime
Finally, the story reaches its core…!
**#ChainsawMan** JC Vol. 23 is on sale today! 🎊
The Death Devil appears before Denji—
Even after hearing the War Devil’s objective, a skeptical Denji is shown…!?
I’d be thrilled if you’d pick it up at your local bookstore or similar!!
Though fans will probably meet the manga’s end with a mix of emotions, it’s hardly surprising. Denji has unlocked his ultimate Chainsaw Man form, and he’s currently battling a foe that has been set up as the series’ true final villain.
Additionally, the post-apocalyptic consequence of Chainsaw Man’s current arc would make it difficult for the series to go back to any sort of status quo. The sheer scale of the destruction present in the manga’s latest arc is so great that it’s unclear if another full arc or two would even be possible.
Chainsaw Man currently has 6 chapters not bundled together in a volume. With volumes typically carrying 12 chapters, it’s a safe bet that Chainsaw Man will end with either volume 24 or volume 25.
Our Take On Chainsaw Man’s Potential Ending
If Chainsaw Man is ending sometime soon, then the series would certainly be ending on a high note. Despite some fans complaining about the art and pacing of the story, Fujimoto is consistently adding to Denji and Asa’s characters in fascinating ways.
With Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc earning critical acclaim and with season 2 of the main Chainsaw Man anime confirmed, it’s truly been a great time to be a fan of the franchise. Fans can only hope that Tatsuki Fujimoto hits a home run with Chainsaw Man’s manga ending.
