Chris Pratt is in the middle of filming the second season of his hit Prime Video series, The Terminal List, but ahead of its return to streaming, the show is clashing with one of Pratt’s personal favorites on streaming charts. The Terminal List has re-entered the Prime Video top 10, currently ranked #10 at the time of writing. It trails The Chosen by three spots — the faith-based series from writer/director Dallas Jenkins is currently sitting at #7 on Prime Video streaming charts. Pratt once called the series “incredible pop-culture canon” during an interview.
Fans who are anxiously awaiting more content from The Terminal List universe don’t have to wait long. The Taylor Kitsch-led spin-off, Dark Wolf, will premiere on Wednesday, August 27. The first three episodes of the show will debut simultaneously before shifting to a weekly release model, and Chris Pratt will reprise his signature role as James Reece. Kitsch’s Ben Edwards was a fan-favorite from Season 1, and when compiled with his popularity from playing Tim Riggins in Friday Night Lights, he was the obvious choice to lead a spin-off.
As for Pratt’s biggest competition on Prime Video, it’s been a big year for The Chosen so far. Season 5 of the hit series premiered in theaters earlier this year before it debuted on Prime Video. It found success at the box office before soaring to the top of streaming charts, and Chosen fans can rest easy knowing there’s more coming from Dallas Jenkins and co. Dallas Jenkins is working on another faith-based series at Prime Video, one that will turn back the clock and focus more on the early days of the Old Testament. It’s unclear at this time when exactly it will be released, but the next season of The Chosen will arrive early next year.
Chris Pratt Has a Pair of Sequels in the Works
Chris Pratt has been a box office force with his work in the Marvel franchise, but recently he’s lent his voice to a pair of animated movies that have also found financial success. In The Super Mario Bro. Movie, Pratt is the voice of Mario, and in The Garfield Movie, he voiced the titular character. Both films turned a profit on their respective budgets, and both also have sequels on the way.
The Terminal List and The Chosen are two of the most popular shows in the world on Prime Video. Stay tuned to Collider for more streaming updates.
