"Gonzo Girl" Premiere - 2025 Tribeca Festival

Fans were told not to expect David Harbour on the Stranger Things 5 press tour, but it seems those reports were inaccurate – at least in part.

Hours before the Stranger Things 5 premiere event in Los Angeles, fan account Stranger Things Memes reported that Harbour would be skipping press for the final season. The news honestly made sense as it came on the heels of recent reports from The Daily Mail which reported that Harbour’s co-star Millie Bobby Brown had filed a harassment and bullying claim against Harbour ahead of filming on the final season.

“Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season,” a source told the outlet. “There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months.”

While these reports have not been confirmed or addressed by Netflix or reps for Harbour or Brown, the controversy has created a lot of chatter online, and understandably so. So when reports broke that Harbour was going to avoid doing press for the final season, fans had no reason to doubt the reports.

Although we don’t know what actually might have happened behind the scenes, we do know that Harbour will be attending the Stranger Things 5 premiere event on November 6. His inclusion at the event was confirmed by host Josh Horowitz at the top of the livestream of the red carpet, with Harbour’s name included among the stars who would be walking the carpet at the event.

It’s important to note that there has been no confirmation of whether Brown actually filed any complaints. It’s even more important to note that The Daily Mail is known as a gossip site, rather than a news outlet. This is all to say that there’s no real way of knowing if these reports are factual, and it’s something that fans should not expect to be addressed on the red carpet for the show.

The Stranger Things 5 premiere is meant to celebrate the show and its final season, and the cast is not likely to address any of the rumors circulating about potential cast drama between the actors behind Hopper and Eleven. While the reports are likely to come up during the show’s press tour, fans shouldn’t expect any drama on the premiere red carpet.

What they can expect is to see Harbour and his many co-stars walking the carpet and spilling some tea on the final season ahead of its premiere on November 26 with the release of Part 1!
