Not long after the third and final season of this bonkers teen drama was released, viewers around the world were hooked. The series is a thrilling blend of HBO’s Euphoria and Netflix’s Sex Education, featuring the former’s harsh realities of teenagehood and the latter’s diverse sexual representation. Comprising three seasons and 24 episodes, the addictive series premiered four years ago and came to a satisfying end last week.

Created for Netflix as a soft reboot of a much-loved classic, Heartbreak High is garnering global attention. This is no surprise, especially since the streamer released all episodes of Season 3 on March 25, 2026. The high-stakes teen drama, which premiered on September 14, 2022, is currently among the most-watched titles on Netflix, ranking #10 over the past few days. Based on the popular 1994 soap opera, Heartbreak High follows the students and teachers of Hartley High as they navigate racial tensions in Australia, high school romances, and all sorts of teen angst.

What Happened in the ‘Heartbreak High’ Season 3 Finale?

Titled “Destined,” the final episode of Heartbreak High Season 3 is packed with intense drama and the most unexpected twist. As the Hartley gang celebrates their graduation, Sasha is eventually exposed as the carnival ride button pusher, but she begs the group not to turn her in. Apparently, she felt excluded by her friends but didn’t mean to hurt anyone, and if they turned her in, she would be tried in court as an adult. She ultimately turns herself in first and gets off with community service. Meanwhile, Amerie, who planned to take the blame, decides to ditch her plans to study psychology in college. Instead, she joins Harper on her planned post-graduation road trip and finally also gets the goodbye she always wanted from Malakai, who promised her that he’ll be there when she gets back.

Heartbreak High features an ensemble cast including Ayesha Madon, Thomas Weatherall, Bryn Chapman Parish, Asher Yasbincek, James Majoos, Chloé Hayden, Will McDonald, Gemma Chua-Tran, Sherry-Lee Watson, Josh Heuston, Brodie Townsend, Chika Ikogwe, Scott Major, and Rachel House. Sam Rechner, Kartanya Maynard, and Angus Sampson joined the series in its second season, and at the same time, Season 3 added Ben Turland, Ioane Sa’ula, William McKenna, and Aki Munroe.
