Peaky Blinders fans should turn their attention to creator Steven Knight’s new historical drama releasing on Netflix. The popiular historical crime saga Peaky Blinders is set in England at the end of World War I, and follows the lives and criminal activities of the real-life Peaky Blinders street gang, led by Thomas Shelby.
As each season of Peaky Blinders progressed, the eponymous Shelby family expanded on their criminal activities, while also facing continuous threats from enemies, including rival mafia gangs and the Anti-Treaty IRA. Peaky Blinders season 6’s ending saw Tommy Shelby coming to peace with his past endeavors and leaving to start the next stage of his life.
Peaky Blinders is ranked as one of the best historical action shows ever made, due to its portrayal of life in urban England throughout the early 20th century and gruesome depiction of violence and death. While the wait for the Peaky Blinders movie is still ongoing, viewers can turn their attention to another Steven Knight’s upcoming Netflix series.
Peaky Blinders Fans Will Want To Check Out Steven Knight’s House Of Guinness On Netflix
Netflix has released the first images of House of Guinness. The series centers around the titular Guinness family, who were involved in the brewing of the Guinness stout in Dublin, Ireland. The show follows the circumstances surrounding the death of Benjamin Guinness and how it affects his four children’s future surrounding the brewing company.
In an interview with Netflix Tudum, Steven Knight stated that the series will specifically focus on the lives and relationship between Benjamin’s sons, Arthur and Edward, describing them as the “heart” of the show. According to Knight, House of Guinness will depict how Benjamin Guinness planned for his sons to take over his brewery and how he set up his family for success after his death.
The first images released from the show depict the four Guinness siblings of House of Guinness learning more about the famous alcoholic stout and interacting with the public across Ireland and New York. House of Guinness premieres on September 25, 2025 on Netflix, with the first season running for eight episodes.
House Of Guinness’ Similarities With Peaky Blinders Explained
House Of Guinness has similarties to Peaky Blinders in that both shows are dramas that offer viewers insight into real historical events with a focus on internal conflicts and power dynamics between two different families. Peaky Blinders follows how Tommy Shelby’s control over the criminal gang often led to conflict between family members and Tommy’s different love interests across the show.
Meanwhile, House Of Guinness focuses on the relationship between the four Guinness siblings, Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben, and will likely depict conflict between them, following the revelation of their father’s business plans. Steven Knight describes Arthur and Edward as “chained together in responsibility for the brewery,” which could cause tension with Anne and Ben.

Steven Knight has also stated that House Of Guinness will explore a family that has “a lust for life” and that is willing to take risks, similar to the Shelby family throughout Peaky Blinders. Knight’s continuous success with period dramas indicates that his upcoming House Of Guinness could be just as popular and successful with viewers upon its release on Netflix.
