Although 23% of the country couldn’t see him thanks to Nexstar and Sinclair continuing to preempt the broadcast, Jimmy Kimmel drew quite the crowd in his return to television on Tuesday night. Disney reported that, by the initial Live+Same Day measurement, 6.26 million viewers tuned in to watch Jimmy Kimmel Live! as the late-night host broke his silence about his brief suspension. The show marked his first public comments after the House of Mouse took him off the air over comments about the reaction of MAGA officials to the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Indeed, all the attention from the FCC’s call to pressure him off the air has only brought more attention to the show.
