Jujutsu Kaisen Short Brings Season 4 to Life With the Gojo vs. Sukuna Fight Fans Deserve

Few fights in anime history have as much hype behind them as the much-teased Jujutsu Kaisen fight between Gojo and Sukuna. While MAPPA might take another five years or more to bring that epic clash to life, fans are taking matters into their own hands, and the result is nothing short of epic.

In a video posted to YouTube, animator Fyemaj teased an upcoming animation depicting the fight between Gojo and Sukuna that took place in Jujutsu Kaisen’s last arc. The animation work is truly impressive, especially coming from a fan.

While no release date for the full animation has been released so far, what’s already on display is a sight to behold. The way Fyemaj has emulated MAPPA’s signature style while adding in his own flair is incredible and makes the brawl feel like it came straight out of the anime.

Jujutsu Kaisen Fans Are Loving The Newest Gojo Vs. Sukuna Fan Animation

Fyemaj posted the teaser to YouTube on November 3rd, and in just two days, the video accumulated 24,000 views. Fan response in the comments has been nothing short of glowing too.

YouTube user @ThRealUnfathomable seemed to summarize the general consensus best with the comment, “Only 42 seconds of teaser, and I can confirm this is single handedly the best jjk fan animation I’ve ever seen.” That comment received 340 likes, showing just how many fans agree.

It’s easy to see why fans are so hyped to see the full animation. With fluid animation and a perfect encapsulation of Gojo and Sukuna’s characters, Fyemaj’s work here speaks to a deep understanding and appreciation for Jujutsu Kaisen. There’s a reason one fan said, “this has to be a leaked scene.” In reference to a shot of Gojo launching an attack.

Unfortunately, as unreasonably epic as Fyemaj’s animation is, fans may be left waiting quite a long time for MAPPA’s version of the same fight.

MAPPA’s Version of Sukuna Vs. Gojo May Take Years

While Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 is close to being released, a hypothetical season 4 that would adapt Gojo Vs. Sukuna is still years off. The gap between Jujutsu Kaisen seasons 1 and 2 was a little more than two years, while the wait for season 3 has lasted a similar amount of time.

This means that Jujutsu Kaisen season 4 will probably be arriving around 2028 or 2029. Though given that it will probably be the last season, MAPPA may want to spend more time on it or even turn it into a movie, which is what happened with Demon Slayer. Given Infinity Castle’s box office dominance, that may be the direction MAPPA goes in.

While MAPPA’s take on Gojo vs. Sukuna may take years, fans can hopefully tide themselves over with Fyemaj’s awesome take on the iconic duel. With Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 on the horizon and fans like Fyemaj showing their love for the series, hype has never been higher.
