Liam Neeson's Crowd-Pleasing '80s Action Reboot Heads To a Free Streaming Home Soon

October is about to be explosive for fans of The A-Team — and no, it’s not what you’re thinking of! From creators Stephen J. Cannell and Frank Lupo, The A-Team was originally a series that aired on NBC from January 23, 1983, to March 8, 1987. Ever since, the Special Forces production, which defined the TV scene of the 1980s, has become a favorite among fans and critics alike. Decades after its finale, Liam Neeson starred in a feature film reboot, which, almost three months ago, became available to stream for free. Now, the movie has found another free streaming home just as the month is winding down.

Released on June 11, 2010, The A-Team begins streaming for free on VIZIO on October 1, 2025, on the heels of its addition to Tubi back on July 1. The action comedy, despite its stacked cast, doesn’t really stick with you after watching, but some viewers agree that it’s an entertaining watch with silly humor and exciting action scenes. It was not well-received by critics, as indicated by its underwhelming 48% Rotten Tomatoes rating, with the film’s “top-rate cast” being compared to its “muddled blockbuster filmmaking.”

Not only was The A-Team movie critically panned, but it was also a box office failure, earning $177 million worldwide against its $110 million budget, which led to the scrapping of its sequel plans. Neeson led the team as John “Hannibal” Smith, starring alongside Bradley Cooper, who portrayed Templeton “Face” Peck; Jessica Biel as Charissa Sosa; Quinton Jackson as Bosco “B.A.” Baracus; Sharlto Copley as H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock; and Patrick Wilson as Vance Burress / Agent Lynch. The action feature was directed by Joe Carnahan and written by Carnahan, Brian Bloom, and Skip Woods.

What Has Liam Neeson Been Up To?

Neeson may be looking to retire from his usual action roles soon (though that’s yet to be officially announced), but the 73-year-old actor is still quite busy. Most recently, fans saw him in The Naked Gun reboot, in which he takes on the role of Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., starring opposite Pamela Anderson’s Beth Davenport. He also led Ice Road: Vengeance, a sequel to the predictable 2021 action thriller. Furthermore, Neeson has a couple of projects in development, including the sci-fi horror comedy, Cold Storage, written and produced by David Koepp, as well as the action thriller, The Mongoose, from director Mark Vanselow.

The A-Team film debuts on VIZIO in October. Stay tuned to Collider for more information.
