Harlan Coben’s Run Away trailer teases a twisty, edge-of-your-seat mystery
From the very first glimpse, the Run Away trailer shows us a story that’s tense, unpredictable, and utterly compelling. Every shot hints at secrets lurking just beneath the surface, every character seems to carry a hidden truth, and the stakes feel higher than ever. For fans who have followed Coben’s work, this is everything you could hope for and more.
Imagine having a life that seems perfect. There’s the loving wife, kids, great job, and beautiful home, and then suddenly it all falls apart when your eldest daughter runs away. This is what happens to Simon Greene in Run Away, who thought he had everything under control until he finds his daughter, Paige, vulnerable and strung out on drugs, in a city park.
But she’s not alone, and a simple confrontation explodes into violence. He then loses her again, and what follows is a desperate search that drags him into a dangerous underworld full of secrets that could destroy his family.
James Nesbitt stars in the leading role of Simon. He’s best known for starring in other Harlan Coben Netflix shows like Missing You and Stay Close. Also in the cast are Ruth Jones, Minnie Driver, Alfred Enoch, Lucian Msamati, Jon Pointing, and Ellie de Lange, along with a talented ensemble including Tracy-Ann Oberman, Annette Badland, Finty Williams, and more.
Run Away is a limited series, meaning it tells a complete, self-contained story across a set number of episodes. That said, there won’t be an ongoing season-to-season continuation. Additionally, there are a total of eight episodes in the series, with each one running approximately 60 minutes.
Honestly, you could binge the entire show in one sitting if you have the time. If not, you could even split it in half and watch the first four episodes over one night, then finish the rest the next. Whatever works best for you!
Run Away is scheduled to be released on Netflix on New Year’s Day. That means you can expect all eight episodes to drop on the streaming platform on Jan. 1, 2026. Stay tuned to Netflix Life for more news and coverage on all things Netflix!
