New ‘Blue Lights’ Season 3 Sneak Peek Sees Stevie Learn the “Skipper Secrets” [Exclusive]

Some of the best British shows are available to stream in the US on BritBox. From the long-running Shetland to the gripping Karen Pirie, these shows are so often centered on crime-solving, with one of the very best hailing from the fictional Blackthorn police station in Belfast, Northern Ireland. That series is Blue Lights, a police procedural created by Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson starring the dynamic duo of Siân Brooke and Martin McCann as cops Grace Ellis and Stevie Neill. After the show’s second season received glowing reviews, including a huge 93% critics’ score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the third debuted in the UK back in late September, with U.S. audiences having to wait until November 13 to get their fix. Thankfully, we are here to help pass the time, as we’ve teamed up with BritBox to bring you an exclusive clip from the upcoming third season as part of our Collider’s Exclusive Preview event, available to watch below.

Our exclusive sneak peek clip from Season 3, Episode 3, shows Stevie chatting to Andi Osho‘s Sergeant Sandra Cliff in a rare moment of calm amidst the show’s frantic action. After admitting he thinks Grace is suffering from a “two-year fade” and being told of his and her differences as a “campaigner” and a “pragmatist,” Stevie learns of “skipper secrets” and probes further. When promised it’s “the good stuff,” the drop of some red folders leaves Stevie staring at potentially valuable information. Brooke and McCann are joined in Season 3 by newcomers Cathy Tyson (Boiling Point) and Bad SistersMichael Smiley, with the trio of Lawn, Patterson, and Fran Harris penning the six episodes.

‘Blue Lights’ Season 3 Is Not to Be Missed

Previously, Brooke and co-star Nathan Braniff teased the third season, describing it as “intense” and “surprising.” Brooke added, “The writing, I think on this one, it just blows it out [of] the water – I don’t know how these guys get better and better, but they do.” Braniff went on to gush even further over Season 3, noting that the third series is “the best so far this next one I would say, so we’re all super excited for everybody at home to see it.” Brooke then added when speaking of the characters: “There’s a lot of care that’s gone into making them, and they’re very individual and so people have related to them, they want to know what happens, where the story ends.”

Blue Lights Season 3 will be available to stream on BritBox starting November 13. For more exclusive clips, quotes, and images from the hottest film and TV today, make sure to stay tuned to Collider’s Winter Preview Event.
