Pokémon Pokopia brings all the cozy, relaxing vibes of something like Animal Crossing while imbuing it with the kind of magic and whimsy only a collection of adorable Pokémon can offer. And like Nintendo’s other popular life sim franchise, you’ll spend a lot of time taking things slowly in Pokémon Pokopia, as you’ll need to wait real-life days for some projects to complete. That is, unless you time travel.
While the game’s laid-back design is meant to give you a reason to log in each day for a steady sense of progression, you can technically move things along by time traveling via your Nintendo Switch 2’s system settings. This will allow you to move forward and backward to see specific events early, or to speed up any projects you’re waiting to complete. We always recommend playing the game as intended for the ultimate sense of satisfaction, but if you’re feeling a bit impatient, we totally get it. So, here’s how to time travel in Pokémon Pokopia.
How To Time Travel In Pokémon Pokopia
Time traveling in Pokémon Pokopia is not handled from within the game, as it’s not a feature intended to be used for normal play. Instead, as with time traveling in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you’ll need to manipulate your Nintendo Switch 2’s clock settings to make this work. Make sure you’ve saved your game and closed out of it, then follow the instructions below to get started.
- Select the Systems Settings gear on the Nintendo Switch 2 home screen.
- Scroll all the way down and select System.
- Scroll down a bit and select Date and Time.
- Toggle the Synchronize Click Using the Internet setting to the Off position.
- Change the clock to whatever day and time you’d like to time travel to.
Now you’re ready to do some time traveling in Pokémon Pokopia, which can be a huge help for those situations where you really want to get a project done faster. As we said before, though, we’d still recommend playing the game normally as much as possible, as the game is designed to be enjoyed slowly and with a sense of daily purpose. You know, patience is a virtue and all that jazz.
