Pokémon Z-A Home Support Window & Free Bonus Officially Revealed

After nearly half a year of waiting, Pokémon Home support is finally coming to Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Pokémon Home is a space where players can transfer, store, and trade Pokémon between the various modern games in the series. The service lets you shift your favorite mons between all the major recent games, from Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, all the way through Arceus and Scarlet & Violet.

Until now, the most recent addition to the Pokémon franchise, Legends: Z-A has been missing from the list of supported games. This means that any Pokémon you caught in Z-A remains locked into that single title.

But that’s about to change. According to the Pokémon website, Z-A players will be able to start linking their games to Home in the spring.

Pokémon Home Support Is Coming To Z-A Soon

But There Are Some Major Limitations

According to the announcement, Legends: Z-A will be connected to Pokémon Home for transfers beginning in Spring—though there’s no word on when, specifically, in spring the connection will be made. It’s not unusual for a game to take some time to become available on Home, though lack of support was recently criticized in relation to the re-release of FireRed and LeafGreen.

The support will also include a major limitation. Players won’t be able to send Pokémon from Z-A to previous Pokémon games. More importantly, if you transfer a Pokémon from a previous game to Legends: Z-A, you will no longer be able to bring it back to previous games.

These limits are important to note, since they mean your companions would become locked out of their own original games. As with other titles in Home, Pokémon can only be moved into games where they appear.

Linking and depositing Pokémon from Z-A to Home when the option becomes available will net you a couple of perks. Anyone who makes a transfer will get an alpha Chikorita, Tepig and Totodile as Mystery Gifts in the mobile Home app.

On top of that, certain Pokémon that you bring from Pokémon Legends: Z-A to Pokémon Home will be available to use in the upcoming Pokémon Champions, which is launching in April. Thanks to a special promotion, you’ll also be able to send Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja, and Eternal Flower Floette to Champions to get their Mega Stones in the stadium battling title.
