Roblox is known for its ever-growing list of viral games, but one that’s recently been thrown into the mix might just have you pushing Grow A Garden aside. Steal A Brainrot, while not exactly brand-new, is seeing an incredible spike in players, and the reason why is exactly what you’d expect for Roblox.
For those who don’t know, Steal A Brainrot is a game in Roblox where you collect Brainrot creatures by either purchasing them from a red conveyor belt in the middle of the map or stealing them from others. However, don’t let that simplistic description fool you into thinking this isn’t something special, as this unique game maintains an active daily player count in the millions.

Tycoon Games Are Always Addictive & This Is No Exception
On the surface, Steal A Brainrot’s relatively empty map might not look like much, but it’s actually a pretty creative Tycoon-style Roblox game. Its lack of complexity and straightforward gameplay loop are exactly what make it so addictive, as you remain trapped in a cycle of turning progress into results, which turns into needing to make more progress for even bigger results.
However, the endless loop isn’t all that makes this game addictive. Steal A Brainrot also cleverly adds in aspects that make the gameplay itself both fun and frustrating. Collecting, in any capacity, already tends to draw in a crowd, as does the concept of accruing wealth, but the added element of stealing Brainrots from each other is where the real fun comes in.
Staying on the defensive constantly to protect everything you’ve built, while also being tempted to abandon your base and steal from others, makes for an equally chaotic and engaging experience. Even if your initial goal is to amass only a small collection at first and see what this whole thing is about, you’ll easily find yourself losing hours to this endless game, alongside millions of others, without even realizing it.

For the most part, even if you aren’t a Roblox fan yourself, it’s nearly impossible to escape it entirely. Due to its sandbox nature, there’s seemingly always a strange new Roblox game that everyone’s talking about. For example, another notable hit from 2024 that also crept into this year that you may have heard of is Dress To Impress.
While Dress To Impress is not necessarily new either, there seemed to be a spike in players earlier this year, and I honestly can’t think of a major content creator in the gaming space that I haven’t seen play it at least once. Of course, that unfortunately only continues to add to the mystery that is Roblox.
Dress To Impress, Grow A Garden, and Steal A Brainrot were all major hits for Roblox in 2025, but they have virtually nothing in common beyond their short and snappy titles. Dress To Impress is a fashion show game, Grow A Garden is a farming simulator, and Steal A Brainrot is a strange, competitive Tycoon game. This wide variety makes Roblox feel like its own little mysterious world, which I suppose it kind of is.
It truly seems like there’s no way to tell what has the potential to go viral on Roblox, whether it be a traditional farming simulator or a creature-napping tycoon, but one thing’s for sure: there’s always something new and likely unexpected to surprise you there.
