Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G, Dua Lipa, Kendrick Lamar

It’s that time of year again—when the Coachella rumor mill kicks into gear. According to Hits Daily Double, the first major leak is here, and it’s a big one: Sabrina Carpenter is reportedly in talks to headline. She’s not alone, either; Latin megastar Karol G is also rumored to be taking top billing.

While Hits reports the lineup might also include Dua Lipa and Kendrick Lamar as possible headliner additions, Rolling Stone reported yesterday that the insider word is that Coachella remains in discussions for its third headliner act (so we’ll have to hold tight on news for that one).

Coachella once again takes place over two weekends in 2026, on April 10–12 as well as April 10–17. We are still a fair way out from an official lineup announcement, with it generally arriving in January or February (this year’s edition represents an anomaly, with the lineup making a surprise arrival in the lead-up to Thanksgiving).

Carpenter Is Hot Off Her Huge Win At The MTV VMAs

The rumors arrive at a red-hot time for Carpenter, who will still be reeling from her massive win at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night. Her seventh studio album Man’s Best Friend arrived just last month, and Carpenter was richly rewarded at the ceremony, taking home three awards including ‘Best Pop Artist’.

Carpenter is also preparing for an assortment of shows before the end of the year. She will headline the Austin City Limits Festival over two weekends in October, after which she’ll commence her Short n’ Sweet tour of North America through October and November.

Columbian superstar Karol G is a huge name in Latin pop, on the ascent for the past few years. On Sunday night, she was nominated for Best Latin Song at the VMAs for “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido,” though couldn’t make an appearance as she had her hands full with a huge show in São Paulo, Brazil over the weekend.

Neither are strangers to the Coachella stage. Carpenter performed her debut set there in 2024, not long after she dropped her breakthrough smash, “Espresso.” Karol G played her debut set at the festival in 2022, in support of her third album KG0516.
