It’s been another great and drama-filled season of Selling the OC, and with how things ended in the second season, people are waiting with bated breath for any new updates on a Selling the OC season 3. No worries! We’re constantly gathering new information about the upcoming season to put in a guide to share with you.
Selling the OC season 2 dropped on Netflix on Sept. 8, and it has been the talk of the town since its release. People can’t get over all that occurred this season. While viewers got to see many more stunning, expensive properties, there was also tons of drama going on at The Oppenheim Group’s Orange County office. Rumors were swirling around, and friendships were tested.
At the end of the season, Alex Hall and Tyler Stanaland‘s relationship status was left up in the air as well as Alex’s friendship with Brandi Marshall. The Alexandra duo, Alexandra Jarvis and Alexandra Rose, seemed to have broken up as friends and business partners. And we can’t forget about the new addition to the cast, Tennesse native Ali Harper.
We can’t wait to see the cast return in Selling the OC season 3. But when will the new season make its way to Netflix? Here’s everything we know so far about Selling the OC season 3.
Selling the OC season 3 is officially happening
Yes, you read that right! A third season will be coming to Netflix in the future. When Netflix renewed the popular reality series for a second season back in January 2023, the streamer also renewed the show for a third season. Now that the second season is out, we’re getting closer to the release of the third season.
It appears that production started in the summer of 2023. Although Netflix nor the Selling the OC team have announced that production has started on the third season, it looks like the cameras were rolling this summer based on an Instagram post by Alex Hall. The post is dated June 5. However, it’s unknown if filming actually started in June, though. It could’ve started earlier.
The first season took about four months to film, so the cast and crew are probably done filming the third season by now.
Cast
An official cast list has not been revealed, but we can expect the entire cast to return for the third season. During the Selling Sunset season 7 reunion, Alex Hall, Polly Brindle, Gio Helou, and Brandi Marshall made an appearance to share the teaser trailer for Selling the OC season 3. This pretty much confirms their return. Also, all of the season 2 cast was included in the teaser, so that’s another confirmation.

What happened in the Selling the OC season 3 teaser?
As mentioned above, the Selling the OC season 3 teaser was released during the Selling Sunset season 7 reunion episode. As of Nov. 16, Netflix still hasn’t dropped the teaser on YouTube so the only way you can watch it is by watching the reunion special. We’ll share the teaser once Netflix drops it, but for now, we’ll give you a little rundown of the main things that happened in it.
- Alex and Tyler’s budding romantic relationship reaches a standstill.
- Sean isn’t doing well at the Oppenheim Group and even gets into a physical altercation with Austin.
- Gio’s wife is pregnant, so we get to see Gio and his wife’s pregnancy journey.
- Kayla and Gio get into a tense argument as well as Alex and Ali.
During the Selling Sunset season 7 reunion, Alex revealed that she and Tyler do not talk. She told Tan France that Tyler has her blocked on social media. Also, there was more serious tension between Alex and Brandi during the reunion. If you recall from the season 2 finale, Alex and Brandi’s friendship was not in a good place, but I wonder how it got worse. We’ll most likely find out in the third season.
How many episodes could there be in the third season?
Unfortunately, Netflix has not revealed the total episode count for Selling the OC season 3 just yet. However, we’re most likely looking at another eight episodes like the first and second seasons. We’ll make sure to share the total episode count once Netflix reveals it.
We don’t have an official release date either, but our best release prediction is sometime in early 2024. However, past seasons have been released in the summer months of August and September. So, Netflix might decide to keep up with this release pattern and release Selling the OC season 3 in August 2024 or September 2024. You can definitely count on us to share the official release date once it’s announced.
