Shrek Team Wants Everyone To Know That Zendaya’s Shrek 5 Casting Was Manifested 8 Years Ago

With the first glimpse of Zendaya as Shrek’s daughter in the Shrek 5 trailer, the franchise’s social media team has shared a post that shows her casting may fulfill a long-forgotten tweet. After Antonio Banderas’ Puss led the franchise through his spinoff movies, Mike Myers’ animated ogre will return in 2026, sixteen years after the last main installment. Alongside Zendaya and Myers, Shrek 5 will also see the return of Eddie Murphy and Cameron Dias as Princess Fiona and Donkey.
