Spider-Man and Daredevil join forces as the street heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a new Spider-Man 4 fan poster as they get ready to take down Kingpin. Throughout The Multiverse Saga, Spider-Man: No Way Home has continued to be the most profitable MCU movie in Phase 4 while being the third highest-grossing Marvel Studios film to this date. With Spider-Man: No Way Home’s success, Spider-Man 4 is in development as Tom Holland is set to reprise the role of Peter Parker.
One of the big returns in Spider-Man: No Way Home was Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, who served as Peter’s attorney, leaving the audience to see more of the web-slinger with Daredevil. To show what a team-up could look like, Art of Time Travel shared new fan art of Holland and Cox together as Spider-Man and Daredevil, respectively, for Spider-Man 4, with Kingpin serving as the big threat.
Art of Time Travel pitches the Spider-Man 4 fan poster as Kingpin starting “a war against the street level heroes of New York,” with Kate Bishop, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and The Punisher right behind Peter and Daredevil. Out of those four characters, The Punisher is currently confirmed to return in the Daredevil: Born Again story, while Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop will come back to the MCU, although in which movie or TV show remains to be seen.

Why A Spider-Man & Daredevil Team Up Seems So Likely
Aside from Spider-Man and Daredevil’s dynamic in the comics, the MCU has been lining the two New York heroes up for a team-up for quite a while, including Spider-Man 4. At San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Kevin Feige revealed during the Hall H presentation that “we’ve got the street-level with the announcement of Daredevil and of course, Spidey going into the street-level heroes,” alluding to a new exciting direction for the street side of the MCU. For Spider-Man himself, it indicates that he might be more with his fellow street heroes than the Avengers, especially as Spider-Man: No Way Home ended with the whole world forgetting who Peter is, which makes a team-up with Cox’s Daredevil in the MCU more organic.
As Daredevil: Born Again will re-establish the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, it wouldn’t be shocking if the upcoming MCU show becomes the first project to hint at his inevitable relationship with Spider-Man. While it would be a major surprise, a cameo by Holland’s Spider-Man would make sense in terms of allowing the two heroes cross paths before a bigger story is explored with them in Spider-Man 4, if Cox actually ends up being in the movie.
It remains to be seen when Spider-Man 4 is actually happening, as Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures haven’t set a release date yet. At this point, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if Spider-Man 4 doesn’t happen until Phase 7 once the Multiverse Saga is over. Hopefully, more updates about Spider-Man 4 will begin to emerge, as this is one of the most highly-anticipated upcoming projects in the MCU.
