Stranger Things season 5 and 5 Netflix shows with final seasons on the way

Some of our favorite Netflix shows have final seasons coming to the streamer soon, and we’re not ready to say goodbye. There are also some good Netflix shows with final seasons that don’t have release dates yet, but they should be coming to Netflix within the next couple of years. Obviously, we’re talking about Stranger Things season 5.

It’s always hard to let go of a show when you’ve invested so much time watching each and every season. You become so invested in the characters and the story that you can’t imagine not seeing the show return. But, unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.

Are you wondering which Netflix shows have final seasons coming out? If so, we’ve got you covered! Below, we shared a list of six Netflix shows with final seasons on the way.

Netflix shows with final seasons on the way

We’ll start off the list with the popular sci-fi series, Stranger Things.

Stranger Things season 5

Stranger Things season 4 premiered on Netflix in two batches, and once again, it was a successful season. People are still talking about all that happened in the fourth season and it’s been over a month since the final two episodes dropped. There’s no arguing that Stranger Things is the best Netflix original series. This is why it’ll be so hard to let the science fiction series go when Stranger Things season 5 drops. Stranger Things season 5 was announced in February 2022, but we don’t have a release date yet. However, our best release prediction for the fifth and final season would be sometime in 2024. David Harbour told GQ that he thinks they’ll begin filming Stranger Things season 5 next year and that it’ll probably come out “mid-2024.”

Locke and Key season 3

Locke and Key season 3 drops on everyone’s Netflix accounts on Aug. 10. When the show was renewed for a third season back in 2020, the streamer didn’t mention that it would be the final season. But in April 2022, Netflix made the announcement and we can’t believe we’re only days away from saying goodbye to the Locke family and their magical keys. Unlike previous seasons, there are eight episodes in the third and final season. Honestly, it sucks that the final season has only eight episodes compared to the show’s usual 10. However, as long as the series is wrapped up nicely, I guess it’s all right.

Dead to Me season 3

Dead to Me season 3 is set to be released on Netflix sometime this fall. It’s been a long time coming, but soon we’ll see the drama series back on our screens for one last time. Netflix hasn’t announced the official release date yet, but we hope the streamer will do so soon. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that the show is given a September release. I wonder how things will end for Jen and Judy (Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini). We’ll make sure to share the official release date once it’s announced.

Family Reunion season 3

Family Reunion is one of the few sitcoms still streaming on Netflix. In October 2021, Netflix renewed the family sitcom for a third and final season consisting of 10 episodes. The heartwarming family series stars Tia Mowry, Anthony Alabi, Talia Jackson, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Cameron J. Wright, Jordyn Raya James, and Loretta Devine. Production wrapped on Family Reunion season 3 in June, but we still don’t have a release date yet. However, it’s expected to arrive on Netflix by the end of 2022.

Manifest season 4

Manifest was picked up by Netflix in August 2021 for a fourth and final season after NBC canceled the drama series. The streamer gave Manifest season 4 a whopping 20 episodes, which will be split up into two parts. Production on the first half of episodes finished in April 2022, so part 1 should be released by the end of 2022. We’re hoping the first part is released in November, but nothing has been confirmed. Of course, you can count on us to share the release date once Netflix announces it.

Never Have I Ever season 4

Never Have I Ever season 3 isn’t even out yet, but Netflix went ahead and renewed the teen series for its last season in March 2022. The fourth and final season will premiere sometime in 2023. It looks like production on Never Have I Ever season 4 wrapped on Aug. 3, according to Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. It’s going to be a sad day when the fourth season comes out, so make sure you have a box of tissues next to you. You might even want to watch the final season with a close friend. Once the official release date for Never Have I Ever season 4 is announced, you’ll be the first to know.
