On October 7, Xbox Game Pass members will gain access to a brand-new day-one release title in the catalog, and it promises to be an incredible adventure game to play. You can find hundreds of different games on Microsoft’s subscription service, most of which can be downloaded and played without any extra costs – though some are limited to specific subscription tiers.
Recently, Sworn was added as a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass, for example. This roguelike game, which heavily resembles Hades, adds a lot of value to the service, but it isn’t the only one. The catalog is constantly changing, with some new additions and removals every month. There is a lot in store for the catalog this month, including Ninja Gaiden 4, but it will start with other games.
Sopa Arrives For Xbox Game Pass
The Game Will Be Available For Consoles, PC, & Cloud
One of the games arriving for Xbox Game Pass in October 2025 is Sopa: Tale of the Stolen Potato. This adventure, created by indie developers StudioBando, is arriving on October 7, and will be playable on consoles, PC, and cloud gaming – if your subscription tier grants you access to that platform.
The title’s addition to the Xbox Game Pass catalog now ensures that the game will not be removed anytime soon. It’s common for games to remain in the catalog for around one year following their introduction. Even so, it’s unclear how much time it will be available for, so it’s best to play it as soon as possible – and, luckily, it can be done in a short time.
Sopa Promises To Be A Fun Adventure Game
The Game Is Inspired By Spirited Away
Sopa: Tale of the Stolen Potato is an adventure game inspired by Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away, as well as The Little Prince and Coco. The game is 3D-animated and puts you in control of Miho, who starts the game by locating a potato in the pantry so as to help his grandmother with her soup. From here on out, he is taken to a fantastic land and must find the missing potato.
The game will be centered around exploration beats, as well as puzzle-solving. StudioBando says that this is a game for all ages on its Steam page. It is expected to be a Game Pass title to beat in a weekend, as the developers also mention that it should take around four hours to complete the campaign.
Sopa is not one of those huge AAA titles that will provide you with dozens of hours of gameplay, but it’s promising to be a heartfelt adventure that references several beloved movies. As a day-one release, too, it should give your Xbox Game Pass subscription more value, especially if you’re tired of the long-winded games.
