An all-new expansion is coming to The Sims 4, called Adventure Awaits, and this one is tempting many players like me to get back into the game. Of course, I have loved The Sims ever since the original launched back in 2000, but in recent years, I seem to have drifted away from playing the iconic life sim game, as other cozy games have caught my attention. Now, seeing the news about Adventure Awaits, I’m already feeling the itch to reinstall the game.
The new Sims 4 expansion, Adventure Awaits, is expected to release on October 2, 2025. This will be the 20th expansion pack for the game, and it feels as though it is getting back to some of the core gameplay dynamics. While the past few expansions have been a lot of fun, adding fairies, the occult, and even funerals just haven’t been top of my list. This time around, our silly and lovable Sims can get away on vacations where they can relax, learn new hobbies, and even find love.
Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Is Fun For The Family
New Getaway Locations, Neighborhoods, And Custom Venues and Getaway System
Perhaps I am excited about Adventure Awaits because I always treat The Sims 4 as being an idealized version of what I’d like my life to be, and this expansion is letting our little Sims head out on vacation. Whether sending kids to Camp Gibbi Gibbi to learn archery and play with other kids, or taking a family trip to a festival on the boardwalk, there are lots of cheerful ways to unwind and have fun.
Unlike the magical Enchanted by Nature expansion, this time everything feels much more grounded with a little less fantasy and a little more realistic adventures. Fantastical themes are appreciated from time to time, but offering a chance to work out on a Spin Bike or visit a lagoon to see jellyfish feels a bit more practical.
I’m Excited To Get Some Basic Sims 4 Additions Again
Swimming, Fishing, Even Making Smoothies All Feel More Familiar
Even if you don’t want to go become a Camp Counselor at Camp Gibbi Gibbi or experience the suspiciously Love Island-like “Love Highland” in Adventure Awaits, there are still lots of new items, skills, and probably decorations that will be added with the expansion.
A full explanation of what will be included hasn’t been unveiled just yet, but just looking at the images that have been released, I expect a lot of fun things that can be used at home as well as on vacation.
New skills of Papercraft, Entomology, Diving, and Archery all sound incredibly fun as well. I mean, who wouldn’t want to have their Sims make paper airplanes and raise butterflies? Overall, I have high hopes for The Sims 4‘s upcoming expansion, and it’s already pulling me back to the game.
