Lizard’s Billy Joel Night Performances & Clues

Before Lizard came out on stage, the two of the Men in Black rode out in mini cars before him. When Lizard first appeared on stage dancing to “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me,” Jenny declared, “This guy’s a showman.” Robin said that he had “energy,” while Rita pointed out, “he’s tiny!” In honor of The Masked Singer season 11 Billy Joel Night, Lizard sang “Uptown Girl.” Lizard’s clue package began in a car garage.

Lizard stood looking at a car on a lift as he said, “Some people might label me a ladies’ man, the bad boy type in Billy Joel songs. But that’s not the real me. And despite some of my better known hits, I tend to see people for who they are on the inside.” Lizard used a wrench to fix a car.

Lizard continued, “But when I met the love of my life, she was the definition of an uptown girl, and this downtown daredevil was smitten.” He then looked at a TV screen with a photo of himself and his wife, with the titles “TMS Pop Culture Gossip” and “Live, Laugh, Lizard.”The Masked Singer season 11 contestant also held a heart-shaped lollipop. However, he continued with, “Years later though, she was fed up with my superstar shenanigans, and she threatened to walk out that door.” The TV screen headline was now “Lizards Lose Love.” The photograph then changed to a cupcake with pink icing and a crab decoration.

Lizard went on to say, “That’s when I had a premonition: I told her I thought she was pregnant. And it turns out, she was.” The TV screen headline changed to “Lizards Scale Up Family.” Lizard then held up a red Christmas ball ornament with a lizard on it. He said, “I promised right then to change my ways. Now, my whole world is all about being a good husband and a cool dad.” He tucked a lizard egg into a blue racecar bed with black and white checkered sheets. Lizard concluded with, “And what’s cooler than showing up on my family’s favorite show? This downtown boy is about to turn it up.”

After Lizard’s performance, another clue was revealed about him. As Billy Joel’s “New York State of Mind” played, a remote control taxi drove out on stage with a card that said, “Billboards.” Lizard explained, “I’ve had a number one billboard, and I’m not talking about Times Square.”

Later on The Masked Singer Billy Joel Night, Lizard went head-to-head in the Smackdown with Spaghetti & Meatballs, in which they both sang “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song).” Although they both gave extraordinary performances, Lizard made it through to the next round, while Spaghetti & Meatballs was unmasked and revealed to be Joe Bastianich. Robin and Rita both declared that they knew who Lizard was after he finished singing.

Lizard’s TV Theme Night Performances & Clues

On The Masked Singer season 11 TV Theme Night, Lizard sang “Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?” from the cartoon of the same name. Lizard began his clue package with a recap of his Billy Joel Night performance. He said, “I really turned it up last time, and that Smackdown got my heart racing.” The scene then changed back to the car garage from the Billy Joel Night clue package. This time, a blue neon sign that said, “Reptile Pit Stop” was shown.

Lizard was shown drawing at a table and said, “Now being here on TV Theme Night is taking me back to my beginnings. As a little lizard, I loved cartoons so much that I spent all my days drawing them.” Lizard was shown drawing a pencil sketch of himself. He continued, “I got so good, I was offered a dream job at a huge animation studio. Yeah, the mouse was chasing this lizard pretty hard.” As Lizard stood in front of a wall of clocks, two of them made the shape of Mickey Mouse ears above his head.

Lizard continued, “It was a great opportunity, and my dad begged me to take it. But deep down, I knew I wanted to be a performer. SoI put down my pencil and took the riskier road to stardom.” Lizard threw his pencil over his shoulder and shook his head no, as the camera zoomed in on a paper that said, “Reptile Animation Studio … Employment Contract Confirmation … I ______ agree to the terms of employment at the Reptile Animation Studios.” Reptile said, “And my dad was shook,” as a framed picture of Lizard’s dad moved back and forth.

Lizard went on to say, “But that lit the fire to prove to him that I could pull it off. And when I eventually became one of the most recognizable reptiles on the planet, he was so proud.” A doll of Lizard in a box was then shown. He put it in a sack along with a pair of cowboy boots. Lizard concluded with, “Now I might not draw animation, but I sure do draw in the crowds. And tonight, I’m singing the song from a cartoon classic. Let’s Scooby-Doo this thing!”

After Lizard’s performance, another clue was revealed about his identity. A real dog that looked like Scooby-Doo was the clue. Lizard explained, A dog actually helped me reach an even bigger audience. Jenny used the dog clue to guess that Lizard might be referring to Snoop Dogg. Lizard later found himself in the Smackdown with Wild Card contestant Sir Lion, during which they both sang “Who Are You” by The Who, which is the theme song to The Masked Singer. Lizard made it through to the next round, the Group C finals, which is Shower Anthems Night, during which he’ll compete against Clock and Poodle Moth. The Masked Singer season 11 Shower Anthems Night began with the Group C finalists, Lizard, Poodle Moth, and Clock, singing “Shower” by Becky G. For his competition performance, Lizard sang a thrilling version of “Bring Me to Life” by Evanescence. Lizard’s clue package began with a recap of TV Theme Night. He marveled, “I can’t believe I fought my way out of a second Smackdown.”

Lizard’s clue package took place in a locker room. When asked what songs he sings in the shower, Lizard answered, “I go full emo. I’m talking the anthem of troubled teens everywhere. Before I could even drive, I was living two lives. I got straight A’s in school, but after school, I was running the streets with the bad crowd. The Masked Singer season 4’s Dragon, who was Busta Rhymes, then appeared in the scene.

Lizard continued, “I was messing up so much I saw the inside of a jail cell, more than once.” He then opened a locker that revealed a thermometer that read zero degrees Fahrenheit. He shivered as the wind whistled. Lizard went on to say, “That last time, I took a long look in the mirror, and realized that thug life just wasn’t for me. He opened another locker and looked at himself in the mirror. He then pointed to a photograph of Justin Timberlake which was in another locker.

Lizard concluded by saying, “And from that moment on, I steered in a different direction and cleaned up my act. But I never forgot those dark days, and the wake-up call I desperately needed.” Lizard put on a backwards red and white baseball cap with a blue brim and admired himself in the mirror. He was then shown in rehearsals for The Masked Singer Shower Anthems Night without his full costume.

After Lizard’s performance, another clue was revealed about his true identity, which was the Masked Singer cast member he was connected to. The clue was a shower of loofa sponges, one of which was gold and said, “Rita.” Lizard explained, Rita, I’m honored to say we both have won the same out-of-this-world award. Later in the episode, Lizard received the least number of votes and was revealed to be Sisqó. Then, Clock and Poodle Moth competed in the Battle Royale for a place in the semi-finals, but they both advanced when Rita rang the Ding Dong Keep It On Bell and saved Poodle Moth.

The Masked Singer Season 11: Rita Ora Is The Perfect Replacement For Nicole Scherzinger (Why I Think Rita Will Be Good For The Show)

The Masked Singer panelist Nicole Scherzinger was replaced by Rita Ora in season 11. Here’s why she was the perfect choice to join the panel.

Lizard’s Identity Predictions From The Masked Singer Panelists

The Masked Singer panelists had some great guesses for Lizard during Billy Joel Night. Ken thought that he might be Michael Bivins from Bell Biv DeVoe, while Jenny thought he sounded more like Ricky Bell from the same group. She also said Ronnie DeVoe. Jenny said it wasn’t Johnny Gill, but possibly Ralph Tresvant. All of them were in New Edition. Robin guessed that maybe Lizard was Ray J.

During TV Theme Night, Ken stuck with his original guess of Michael Bivins. Jenny guessed Ray J like Robin did last week. However, Rita and Robin both recognized Lizard’s voice as Sisqó. After Lizard’s Shower Anthems Night performance, Rita continued to guess Sisqó, and Robin agreed. Jenny added D’Angelo to the mix, while Ken continued to guess Michael Bivins.

Before Lizard was unmasked on Shower Anthems Night, the panelists gave their final guesses for his identity. Jenny again guessed Ray J, while Ken still thought that he was Michael Bivins. However, Robin and Rita once again stuck with their guess of Sisqó.

The Masked Singer’s Lizard Is Sisqó

Singer Sisqo Head Shot

The Masked Singer panelists Robin and Rita were correct, and Lizard was revealed to be singer Sisqó. The biggest clue was that Lizard sounded just like him. Also, Rita had said that Lizard was “tiny,” and Sisqó is 5 feet 4 inches. Sisqó is best known for his hit, “Thong Song,” which was number one on Billboard’s Rhythmic Top 40 chart. It’s also a song about women’s appearances, which he said that he used to sing about. Sisqó also had a number one Billboard hit with “Incomplete.”

Sisqó is from Baltimore, Maryland, which is famous for its crabcakes, which explained that clue. Unfortunately, he was jailed three times as a teenager, but he eventually decided to change his life. Sisqó married his girlfriend of 15 years, Elizabeth Pham, in 2018. Together they have two children, and he also has a daughter from a previous relationship. In addition, Sisqó wrote a children’s Christmas book called Sisqó’s Perfect Christmas, which explained the ornament clue.

Sisqó starred in the 2002 film Snow Dogs, which explained the dog clue. He also was a guest vocalist with his group Dru Hill on Will Smith’s hit song “Wild Wild West,” which is why there were cowboy boots in his clue package. A doll version of Sisqó was also made, which is why Lizard had one too.

The dragon clue had more than one meaning. Sisqó’s first album was called Unleash the Dragon, and featured “Thong Song” and “Incomplete.” He also later released two more albums called Return of the Dragon and Last Dragon. In addition, Sisqó has collaborated with Busta Rhymes, who was The Masked Singer season 4’s Dragon. Also, Sisqówon the 2000 MTV Video Music Award for Best Hip Hop Video for “Thong Song,” an award which Rita also won in 2018 for Best Dance Video for “Lonely Together” with Avicii. The award features a Spaceman, which explained that clue.

As The Masked Singer season 11’s Lizard, Sisqó gave many incredible performances. He was energetic, entertaining, and inspiring to watch. Sisqó set the bar high for future Masked Singer contestants.
