The Night Agent. (L to R) Fola Evans-Akingbola as Chelsea Arrington, David Lyons as Adam in episode 309 of The Night Agent

If the beginning of 2026 hasn’t been thrilling enough for you on the small screen, leave it to Peter Sutherland to bring the action-packed spy drama we’ve been waiting for. Once again, our fearless Night Agent will take on another life-threatening mission in The Night Agent season 3. He faced one of his toughest missions yet in season 2, but the end left him posed with a double agent offer.

In the second season, Peter went rogue after his first official mission as a Night Action agent went wrong and killed his new partner. He was left to question everyone’s loyalty and feared that the tip that result in his partner dying came from the inside. After what he went through in the first season, can you blame him for keeping his eyes peeled for a mole in the operation at all times?

However, The Night Agent season 3 promises even more twists and surprises as Peter embarks on a mission that takes him around the globe and, as always, exposes government secrets and pushes him to the brink of life-or-death. Before we start binge-watching the new episodes in February 2026, find out what you need to know, including when they drop, the cast, and what to expect!

When is The Night Agent season 3 release date on Netflix?

The Night Agent season 3 begins streaming on Netflix on Thursday, Feb. 19 at 3 a.m. ET / midnight PT, which is the week following President’s Day. It’s an apt release date considering the political natural of the spy thriller. While it feels as though it’s been a long time since a new season of the series was released, season 2 dropped in January 2025, meaning season 3 arrives just a little over a year later. Thankfully, all 10 episodes of the season will be released at once without any breaks in the middle. Plus, ahead of the season premiere, there have been murmurs that season 4 is in the works.

What to expect from The Night Agent in season 3

Based on where the second season left off, we can expect The Night Agent season 3 to drop us right into the middle of the action once again. When season 2 premiered, we joined Peter as his first mission was in progress, and it’s likely that we will once again find him in the midst of a new mission, whether he’s jumping from a helicopter or running from enemies on the ground.

While the two previous seasons have found Peter teaming up with Rose as an unlikely partner in solving his cases, season 3 pairs Peter up with Isabel (Genesis Rodriguez), a journalist committed to finding the truth whose current story intersects with Peter’s mission. We’ll have to wait and see the status of Peter’s heart after Rose’s departure before we start potentially shipping these two.

Check out the official season 3 synopsis via Netflix’s press release:

“Coming off the explosive events of season 2, Night Agent Peter Sutherland is called in to track down a young Treasury Agent who fled to Istanbul with sensitive government intel after killing his boss. This kicks off a sequence of events where Peter investigates a dark money network while avoiding its paid assassins, while putting him on a collision course with a relentless journalist. Working together, they uncover buried secrets and old grudges that threaten to bring the government to its knees — and get them both killed in the process.”

As the synopsis reveals, we might not be immediately jumping back into the mission that was proposed at the end of season 2, which dealt with Monroe, Hagan, and the White House. There’s still the whole matter of a fixed election and what could have been on the line in order for that to happen. But we can also be sure that Peter will have a full plate of saving the day!

Watch The Night Agent season 3 only on Netflix beginning Thursday, Feb. 19.
