It’s felt like forever, but the wait is almost over, and in no time, we’ll return to our favorite procedural franchise. As summer begins to fade into fall, anticipation is building fast for the return of the One Chicago lineup. NBC has locked in the premiere dates, with Chicago Med Season 11, Chicago Fire Season 14, and Chicago P.D. Season 13 all set to debut on Wednesday, October 1. The shows will air in their usual time slots, one after the other, making for a full night of action, drama, and heart. Over the past few months, fans have been treated to plenty of updates, from surprising casting shake-ups to exciting behind-the-scenes teases. Now, all eyes are on what this new chapter has in store for our favorite first responders, and we can barely wait.
With just one month to go, NBC has dropped vibrant new posters for each of the One Chicago shows, just the thing to tide fans over as the countdown continues. Each poster spotlights the core cast in signature franchise style, with Chicago Med leaning into a bold green theme. Front and center is Gaffney’s Executive Director Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson), flanked by Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt), Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell), and Caitlin Lennox (Sarah Ramos) on one side, and Dean Archer (Steven Weber), Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram), and John Frost (Darren Barnet) on the other. Interestingly, Ripley and Asher aren’t positioned together. Instead, Asher is shown next to Archer. Could this be a subtle hint about the paternity of her baby? We’ll find out soon.
Chicago Fire’s poster blazes with its signature red theme, a nod to the flames the heroes of Firehouse 51 battle day and night to keep the city safe. Chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) steps back into the background as Lieutenant Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) takes the lead in full gear. Following right behind him is his wife, Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), whom fans are praying and hoping will have a much-deserved happy ending with her pregnancy. Standing tall behind them are the rest of the 51’s family lineup, including Lizzie Novak (Jocelyn Hudon), Randy “Mouch” McHolland (Christian Stolte), Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith), and Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg).
Chicago P.D.’s Intelligence Unit Is Ready To Destroy The Next Foe
Chicago P.D.’s poster comes decked in its traditional blue tones, setting the stage for another intense season on the streets of the Windy City. Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), once again, leads his Intelligence Unit as they prepare to take on the city’s next wave of threats. The lineup highlights the familiar faces fans know and love: Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati), Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins), Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger), Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar), and, of course, the no-nonsense desk sergeant Trudy Platt (Amy Morton), who’ll again return to anchor the team with sharp guidance.
The posters reflect the major cast departures, which all came as a shock to fans. Dependable charge nurse Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett) is missing from Med, while Kiana Cook (Toya Turner), last year’s addition to P.D. is also MIA. Fire has seen the most cast departures with the exits of Michael Bradway, Daniel Kyri, and Jake Lockett. They will be greatly missed, but the shows look to fill those voids with the addition of a few fresh faces as well as the return of familiar ones from the past, most notably, Dr. Will Halstead to Chicago Med. The coming weeks will likely reveal more of what’s to come in the new season, so stay tuned for more.
The One Chicago franchise returns to NBC on October 1. Chicago Med, Season 11, leads at 8/7c, followed by Chicago Fire Season 14 at 9/8c; and Chicago P.D. Season 13 next at 10/9c.
