Tom Holland's Spider-Man Reconnects To MCU World With Scorpion, Punisher & Bruce Banner In Brand New Day Trailer

The first Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer has finally arrived, showcasing Tom Holland making his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise.

Peter Parker is making his return to the franchise after being absent since the end of 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home. After a long wait, Holland and Sony Pictures has released the first Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer. Check it out below:

The Spider-Man: Brand New Day cast finished shooting the project in December 2025, as the sequel was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who penned Holland’s first MCU trilogy, returned as writers for the fourth installment.

This will mark the first Spider-Man movie in the MCU not to be directed by Jon Watts, following his work on Holland’s first three movies, which grossed over $2.5 billion. Cretton is no stranger to the Marvel brand, after helming Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, as well as executive producing the MCU series, Wonder Man.

The Spider-Man: Brand New Day story includes major MCU players like Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, as this will be his first time appearing in a Marvel Studios film. Mark Ruffalo is also back as Bruce Banner, a.k.a. the Hulk, while Michael Mando is reprising the role of Mac Gargan, better known as Marvel’s Scorpion.

Holland’s upcoming MCU movie is set to be the final solo-hero focused film in Phase 6, as Marvel Studios will be shifting the attention over to Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, with the latter starting principal photography in the summer. Sadie Sink, who is making her MCU debut in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is reportedly in the 2027 entry, but Marvel Studios has yet to confirm.

Phase 6 only has a number of movies and shows left for the MCU timeline before The Multiverse Saga is said and done. On the small screen, Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is set to debut on Disney+ as of March 24, as there will be connections to Spider-Man in the upcoming season.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is slated to open in theaters on July 31.
