Too Hot To Handle: Spain Season 1

Too Hot To Handle continues its world domination with the upcoming premiere of Too Hot To Handle Spain on Netflix. Too Hot To Handle Spain joins other foreign versions of the show (Too Hot To Handle Italy, Too Hot To Handle Germany, Too Hot To Handle Brazil) to bring the reality competition premise to greater audiences. While the cast believe they’re at a luxurious villa to compete in a show called Masters of Seduction, they find out they’re on Too Hot To Handle and the only way to win the grand prize is by abstaining from sexual contact.

Too Hot To Handle Spain (also known as Jugando con Fuego) sees 10 sexy single Spaniards who are known for their partying and meaningless flings try to compete in various challenges that are designed to deepen their emotional intelligence. Despite being surrounded by attractive people, they have to resist temptation or risk the grand prize amount of €100,000 reduced with each infraction. Players leave the show through self-elimination or being asked to leave and, in the end, the remaining players split the grand prize.

Too Hot To Handle Spain Season 1 News & Trailer

Too Hot To Handle Spain Will Be Hosted By Alba Carrillo

Along with robot host Lana, who acts as the villa’s eyes and ears, and keeps the contestants accountable for their actions, a human host will appear in the form of Alba Carrillo, a well-known Spanish model and presenter. Alba first rose to fame in Spain as the host of Supermodelo in 2007, which was a Spanish take on an America’s Next Top Model format of guiding aspiring models to careers in fashion through challenges. Since then, she’s hosted various shows and even competed on the Spanish version of Celebrity Big Brother, Gran Hermano VIP.

Netflix España released as short trailer to tease the upcoming season. The trailer shows off the cast of attractive Spaniards having fun at the villa, frolicking in the sea together and drinking champagne, before finding out the show’s twist about having to abstain from romantic encounters. It also shows some of the cast getting hot and heavy with each other, so there’s bound to be drama from the other contestants.

Netflix

Too Hot To Handle Spain season 1 will drop eight episodes on Netflix on June 13. All 10 contestants, plus Alba and Lana, will convene at a yet-to-be-named villa, prepared to compete on Masters of Seduction, only to get the rug pulled from under them when they find out they’re actually on Too Hot To Handle. The change in shows mixes things up, as they were expecting to be able to have romantic encounters on the show, but now, any type of romantic encounter could result in the prize money being decreased.

The idea that contestants have the power to cause others to lose money raises the stakes exponentially. Players can be removed from the villa (or they can self-eliminate) for indiscretions, making the need to resist temptation even higher. Being weak and giving in to temptation can end up costing the rest of the players’ money, which adds to the excitement of the show.

Too Hot To Handle Spain Season 1 Cast

Ten Will Compete

The ten single Spaniards who compete on Too Hot To Handle Spain season 1 will join the ranks of other well-known reality stars who broke through on Too Hot To Handle, like Harry Jowsey, Francesca Farago, and Georgia Hassarati, who used Too Hot To Handle as a launching pad for careers as influencers, podcast hosts and, of course, reality stars on other shows. While not much has been reported on the cast, the ten scheduled to compete are:

  • Cris
  • Coco
  • Nerea
  • Enri
  • Luis
  • Melania
  • Jose
  • Andrea
  • Noelia
  • Saray

Who will walk away with a large sum of cash is anyone’s guess, but based on the show’s trailer, it will be a season filled with sexy trysts, secret alliances, and, hopefully, some self-growth and introspection.

Too Hot To Handle Spain will drop on Netflix on June 13.
